What Parents Say
Excellence Day Care Center in Meridian receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with parents citing safety concerns, lack of professionalism, poor communication, and inadequate supervision. One positive review states everything is 'A1,' but the majority of reviews describe incidents of injuries, missing inventory, failure to provide required documentation, and staff unprofessionalism. The center appears to have made cosmetic changes (uniforms) only after complaints.
This "daycare" is so unprofessional. They DO NOT care about the safety and protection of your child. The owner is BARELY there and there seems to be way too many toddlers in one room for one or two adults to watch. They are HORRIBLE at notifying the family if an accident happens at the "daycare". My nephew has been picked up FOUR (4) times from there not in the same condition as he was presented to them. Each time the staff acted as if they did not know what happened, what staff was in the room, and acted as if what happened wasn't a big deal. They DO NOT value the trust that parents and families give them when leaving their child in their "care" so that they can go and make a living for them. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS "DAYCARE" AT ALL ! They care way more about their thrift shop than the "daycare". Then they DO NOT HAVE CAMERAS INSTALLED !! After a year of asking, they have yet to get any installed. THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT EVEN BE YOUR LAST RESORT ! Hate we had to learn the hard way. Please do not make the mistake of leaving your child with them.
This center is now referred to as Y.E.T. First off there was a conference call for the infant parents scheduled for the week prior to daycare opening, I believe it was that Wednesday. Number and code were supposed to be sent, well I never got it. I contacted the Director and was told that it was rescheduled for the next day. So I'm waiting, then I get a text that it was rescheduled again for the next day. By now I'm wondering what is going on so on the next day the code they sent didnt work. I had to contact Director again and ask if they were having the meeting. He then sends me the code and I get on conference. I remained positive and started my 5 month old the following Monday at 9. I sent 4 bottles of breastmilk, she eats every two hours but I wasnt planning on leaving her there all day. If I hadn't come before the first day I would not have been able to tell who was staff. Everyone was in regular clothes with nothing distinguishing. I called to check on her around lunchtime and was told that she kept spitting the milk out. I thought that it might have been because of the taste of the frozen milk so I went to get her a little after 12. I was told that she had 2 bottles but i wasnt given a daily time sheet and they gave me 3 bottles back when I sent 4. I text the lady that floats from class to class and she said that they were sorry. Okay next day, still no uniforms, I sent 3 bottles and was basically given 3 back, since one only had about an ounce gone. I also paid them, tried to use my debit card but they wanted to keep a copy of it and run the card later. Nope I left and got cash. I had dropped her off at 830 called around lunchtime and they said she was eating even went to sleep on the bottle. I never received a daily time sheet that day either although I contacted the Director the day before and he said that he would make sure I got one. By the way daily sheets are required by the state for certain age groups. When I arrived at pickup I asked to speak with the Director. I informed him of my daughter not eating and lies about feeding. Also about their professionalism and how I text the regular caregiver and she never responded. I was trying to be tactful since they were in a room with babies; however, the floater was always the one to answer texts. I had a bad vibe anyway and brushed it off as me not wanting to let go of my baby then realized that I didn't feel like that about my son and his daycare. All the Director said was that he was sorry that I felt that they couldn't give adequate care to my child. I told him I'm sorry to but my daughter wouldn't be back as I was trying to work from home and just wanted to give my 2 week notice. He said that I didnt need to do that but I insisted since it was part of the contract. He then sent me a text later that day saying that he was sorry that I felt that they couldn't give good care for my child and he would feel better by offering me a refund. I went back the next day for the refund and they had done a full 360, uniforms and all!!! I just feel like that should have been the norm and NOW I really dont trust them. The Director might be a pastor but something isn't right there.
I have had my ups and downs with this daycare one down is they charge you for there personal vacation time and holidays. Which I find completely wrong, if I don't work I don't get paid and nether should they..
Very Unprofessional, don’t be watching the kids , staff argue and try to fight parent just because parent address scars or concerns about they kids . I wouldn’t recommend this daycare !
Everything is A1 to me
