This childcare center is absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and at ease. The staff truly care about the children, and the environment is both fun and educational. The classrooms are always clean, organized, and full of engaging activities. The real star is the director—she is incredible! Mrs. LaTressa and her leadership, kindness, and communication make all the difference. She knows every child by name, always takes time to listen to parents, and goes above and beyond to ensure each child feels safe and loved. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the families and the staff. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and highly recommend this center to anyone looking for a nurturing, professional, and joyful place for their little one!

My name is Crystal, and I’m very disappointed with the way this daycare is managed. During my visits to Excel Learning Center, I personally witnessed the director, Macie Walker, belittling her staff in front of parents and even children. It was uncomfortable and completely unprofessional. No one should be treated that way—especially in an environment that’s supposed to be positive and supportive for both staff and students. What made it even more upsetting was that the teacher being spoken to so harshly is someone my son absolutely adores. He is kind, patient, and genuinely cares about the kids. Seeing him treated like that broke my heart, because he’s one of the main reasons my son loves coming to school. It’s also disappointing because the former director, who is now the assistant director, was the complete opposite of Macie. She was respectful, compassionate, and created such a positive atmosphere for both staff and families. I truly wish she had never stepped down from her position—the center was a much better place under her leadership.

The school administration is very interactive with the students through various activities. They are also very communicative with parents, keeping them informed about any necessary information. The teachers care deeply for their children and are very interactive with them. When you walk into the building, you’re greeted with smiling faces and a loving energy.

Do not put your child into this daycare; I have had countless issues since starting my son here in the middle of October. He started when he was 10 months old and just recently turned 1. There is no communication from any of the front desk unless you owe them a balance. On top of that my son has been out of the daycare more than he has been there, he once “spiked a fever “and they called and said we needed to pick him up. We picked him up and find he does not have a fever after checking but they kept insisting he did. We then took him to the dr later that night to see if he was sick and the dr confirmed he did not have a fever. He was in fact just getting his teeth in all at once which caused him to be fussy. I then took him to daycare the next day after confirming he was not sick. As soon as I walked in with him and my daughter who attends pre k there the lady at the front desk started yelling from across the room that he could not be in here because he had a fever yesterday( which he did not). Fast forward to Christmas break I speak to the front desk because my son is about to turn 1 and they want to move him up to the bigger kids classroom. They asked if I wanted him to and I let them know I did not think it was a good idea because he is still crawling and drinking bottles and at that point they let me know that they did not do bottles in the bigger kids classroom. At the point I again reiterated I did not want him moving. Fast forward 2 weeks later we return from winter break go back and I take him to the baby room like normal and they say they moved him out. I go to the same lady I spoke with previously and asked why he was moved we spoke previously about not moving him. She then tells me she does not remember this conversation and he can be in the babies classroom today but if someone takes his spot he will need to move. A few days later I take him in again to the babies classroom and leave when dad picks them up later he is told that they moved him to the other classroom there is no kind of communication once about this. I’m not sure what my son ate that day considering they do not do bottles in this room. Today I take him into the babies room and they finally tell ME he has been moved to an older class room at this point I go to the front desk to the same lady we have been having issues with and ask why he has moved after I had told them 4 different times he needed to stay in the babies classroom. She tells me that it’s fine for him to move up and that my son does not crawl anymore or drink bottles. Which is very confusing because he is my son he can walk for short periods but is mainly still crawling and is most definitely still taking bottles. She at this point admits that she does remember the conversation we had about him not moving to another room but is now saying dad confirmed him moving which he never did. He said it was fine after he had already been moved to another room because he did not have a choice and is not confrontational at all. To sum up my story there is no communication the lady at the front desk with the curly hair has some kind of prejudice that seems to have always been that way since we have started here. When you are in there take a look at the ceilings who knows how much mold is in the place, and the cleanliness is extremely questionable. There is plenty more I could say about this place but it would be a book. Do not put your kids here there are much cheaper places that have such caring staff. That will actually communicate and listen to your concerns as a parent and NOT belittle you and berate you and your kids. The Pre - K staff at this school is wonderful and this has nothing to do with them. Just watch out for the front desk they are extremely sneaky and there were never any problems when the original director was there. It sounds like quite a few families have had the same issues.

My daughter has been attending this preschool for almost two years and we couldn't be happier with the experience we've had here. The security of having to sign the child in and out before entering the building is very comforting and there is always someone at the front desk to help with anything that may be needed. The staff and teachers all know my daughter's name and have taken great care in teaching her. She can count to 20 and sing her ABS's and she isn't even two years old yet! The staff truly cares about their students and it is clear in everything they do. I highly recommend this school to everyone in the area!
