This daycare has recently rebranded as Amy's Sunshine Center with new staff. However, multiple parents report serious safety concerns including physical restraint incidents that prompted CPS involvement, a neglect investigation, understaffing, and mismanagement.
My 3 year old son was physically restrained at chemung valley early care and learning center to the point other staff in the room found it necessary to call CPS. We went to press charges on Jennifer Kone, the woman responsible. It was not her first offense. She restrained him (forcefully held his arms down while he screamed and cried, then put her hands over his mouth and eyes) because he wouldn't lay down and nap. I was informed by CPS that, due to an investigation opened December 9th 2021, they’ve been indicated for neglect. These people cannot keep your children safe, as indicted by Child Protective Services.
My child will never step foot in this place only a few good apples there who actually care.Mismanaged beyond belief. Try to cover things up by punishing the ones who care terrible place for your kids.
It is now called Amy's Sunshine Center. A new beginning for a wonderful place. New staff new beginning. I met the staff very caring people. I would recommend this place to anyone.
