They say when raising children “it takes a village.” This right here is your village. When I started to look for preschools for my son I didn’t even know what a co-op was. Who knew it was the unicorn I was looking for? It’s the most nurturing environment with a wonderful teacher. It has heavy parent involvement, which I love because we are all working in the classroom together and helping our kids learn and grow. The friendships you gain amongst other families is priceless and you feel safety in the sense they are there with your kids when you are not. It builds you a whole community of families you have been searching and longing for.
Our family has been a part of EPNS for 4 years and it is hand down one of the best choices we made! It’s been absolutely wonderful being so involved with our children’s early learning experiences. As a co-op we all get to know each child and all the parents so well! We are all bonded in a special way. EPNS is a special part of the community and a totally hidden gem ❤️
EPNS has been a highlight in our lives. I found out about it through a friend at the park, whose kid had been attending since the previous year. She told me about it, and I was intrigued. Teacher Joanny is the director, and with the help of parents she makes the little classroom a second home. I was feeling a little overwhelmed at first since I had never heard of a co-operated preschool, but everyone was so welcoming and helpful that the stress went away quick. Parents work one day a week and have a job during the year, like cooking easy recipes, planning field trips, science projects, crafting, music, etc. We also organize playdates and even fun camping trips with many of the families. My daughter was the youngest when we started and wasn’t talking yet; five months later and she talks a lot, has friends, talks about school all the time, and has become much more social. EPNS starts as a preschool program your kid attends and ends up being the place where you meet friends that become family.
Terrific parent co-op preschool.. parents are all very involved and the teacher is terrific! For children ages 2y9m-5yo.
