What Parents Say
IMPORTANT NOTE: These reviews appear to be for a vocational/technical high school, not a daycare center. Reviews praise the school's practical skills training, knowledgeable staff, hands-on learning experience, and affordable alternative to traditional college. All 10 reviews are 5-star ratings.
Hands down the biggest waste of time and money. I thought I was going to get 600 hours of HVAC training in order to be competitive in the job market. I found out that I could have saved thousands and just gotten a job and spent a couple hundred dollars on my EPA 608 certification. I spent more time on core training, which consisted of how to use a hammer, drills, fire extinguishers, ladders, sanders, math, resume class, mock interviews, wood shop stool building, and so much more. I can’t even begin to tell you how much we just sat around watching the clock waiting for class to end. But don’t even begin to think you can leaving early, otherwise you will be docked more time from your attendance. The syllabus was an absolute joke. It changed so often that you have to look at it everyday. Not to mention the fact the staff filled it in as we progressed through the course. The school literally felt like there was no structure. If I listed all the things wrong with this program in detail, this review would be 20 pages long. The only reason this review gets two stars is because of the instructors and the facilities. One star for each. Oh yeah, don’t get me started on the supply shortages. Also, I am not the only student that feels this way.
Fantastic school. Whether you're a high schooler or adult looking for a career change. Ehove strives to provide the keys for success
I have never been spoken to the way Kim Moyer had spoken to my friend and I while on the phone. She was incredible rude and unprofessional the likes of which I’ve never seen. She was belittling and refused to help in anyway over the phone other than having an horrendous attitude. I refuse to believe she deserves the spot of treasure with having no ability to properly communicate a financial dilemma in a productive manner. I don’t know if she was just having a bad day, but as a school administrator you should take pride in the phrase: “Do onto others as you’d want done to you”. I genuinely hope she does not share the same unkind and non-personable attitude toward students or adults as she shared with my friend and I. To conclude this review, I am beyond disappointed in the schools choice of administrators and hope to see better in the future.
I graduated from here and I gotta say the classes are amazing depending on what career path you take. I went with construction and Mr. Ridge was an amazing instructor. But the way this school manages finances is terrible I went 2 years without knowing about my "outstanding balance" and only knew about it then because they wouldnt let me get prom tickets.
When I went in high school, I had really high hopes. It was a good alternative to high school and I genuinely enjoyed school in a way I never did before. Unfortunately as an adult, the teachers I had were just wrong. Some teachers taught outside EMS scope of practice, and some even took their bad week out on students who didn't deserve it, including me. I was told multiple times how horrible I was, but once I went to another school, I was told I had a poor knowledge base and was basically taught everything again, and got my certification immediately. EHOVE needs to do better by its adult students. Unfortunately, I'll never come back and haven't recommended others to it for years outside of high school.
