Edit to add: They had no issues at all locating my number to call me after I left this review! Unbelievable. This review is based strictly on the billing administration. And to warn others of the doubling billing that occurs here. (Which, for those who may not know.. is illegal. Only one point of contact should be attempting to collect a debt. Once a bill is transferred to a collection agency, the original agency should cease all collection efforts.) The bill was sent to a disabled/nonverbal patient of theirs who I am POA over. While this patient was in their care, I was the point of contact for EVERYTHING. Within 30 days of receiving the first mailing I started to receive calls from a debt collector. The bill came once a month via mail from Highlands. The calls never stopped. I made MULTIPLE attempts to reach Krista/Kristie who handles billing here via phone calls, left voicemails each time, left messages with office staff. Stopped up 3 different days of the week and different times of the day, each visit, trying to sort this out. No call back, nothing from Highlands. Finally, today I got to speak with her in person. She said she never received any voicemails from me or messages from me… but stated she called and left voicemails for another family member. You claim you never got any communications from me, therefore never returned my communication attempts but you called another family member.. A family member who never called you? A family member who, oddly enough, says they never got a call or voicemail from you. Then tells me there is no phone number in their system for said patient? But I was called by your staff almost DAILY while she was in your care? And it is also in the patients file that I am the POA and point of contact. It was a simple request to get a bill paid. Return phone calls to the person who is inquiring, (patient POA) not another one of their family members who you never got a request from.

My mom has been a resident here for 6 months. This is never an easy decision for anyone. Knowing that she is being taken care of and in good hands, puts my mind at ease. Anytime I have questions, the staff are always nice and helpful. I know this is not an easy job and it takes special people to do what they do. I’m sure they are understaffed and underpaid, which is sad. It makes me appreciate them more than they know. Keep up the great work!!

Therapy is one of the best; Response to call buttons is unacceptable; a 15 min. call turned into 2 hrs. The quality of meals, especially dinner, is not acceptable; some meals are not even eaten; food is wasted; If a patient does not have someone to speak up for him/her the patient is at the mercy of Highland Springs!

Our Dad was transferred here and we couldn't by more happy. We like everything about his care! The staff are dedicated and keep us informed. The medical team are first rate. They have many activities and ways to interact with other seniors. They food is not only delicious but many things are even fortified for additional nutrition that our beloved needs. Most of all Dad is happy. He is gaining some badly needed weight, kids with all the staff and I see a contentment in his eyes and voice. All of these people really care and it shows!

My mother is a resident at Highland Springs. She has received excellent care from the staff. Everyone is friendly and supportive. The facility is clean and well maintained. I like to give special recognition to Abby, Quinn, Sarah, and Flo for taking such good care of her. Also, I like to recognize her Nurse Practitioner Hauna. Thank you to all the staff at Highland Springs!
