What Parents Say
The Eau Claire YMCA Child Development Center receives consistently high ratings (all 5/5 stars) from parents who praise its comprehensive programs, facilities, and community atmosphere. Parents highlight the childwatch services, swim lessons, and youth programs as valuable for their families. The facility is well-maintained despite being older, with modern equipment and excellent staff.
This man REEKS and stinks up the entire upstairs. I’ve never smelled such a sickening scent from a human - AND ITS EVERYTIME WE GO THERE. Someone needs to do something about this guy.
Been going here since 2000. A lot has changed and All for the better in my opinion. Excellent Programs for all Ages and as always accepting of everyone.
The downtown YMCA and childwatch changed my life. I will forever be grateful for the downtown YMCA.
I’ve never had a gym facility ask to workout quietly because it disturbs the people on the first floor. Like don’t put a weight room with bench presses and dumbbells on the second story. And no I never dropped a weight, I was dumbfounded, and heard that happens quite often. A lot of the weight equipment , such as pulldown machines , etc could really be replaced . It’s like I’m using equipment from the 1960s with almost broken or in reality not oiled equipment. Long story short they don’t actually maintain it.
Lack of security and safety. I have been going here for almost a year now and have noticed there is nonexistent security measures. Anyone can come in the front door as the entrance doesn't require membership entry. There is the key card scanner and video monitors up front but you can walk through without scanning your key card and no one says anything. Items have been stolen from workout areas and lockers. There have been questionable individuals wondering in the locker rooms from the surrounding area that clearly did not look like they would be working out. The safety and security of our children are at risk when anyone can wonder into the facility. The front entrance should be key card entry that way you can tell who is coming into the facility for sure. The front desk staff need to also make sure all incoming individuals are scanning their key cards.
