What Parents Say
Eastside Community Learning Center receives highly polarized reviews. Positive reviewers praise the owner Ms. Miller and staff for exceptional care, academic preparation, and a nurturing environment. However, negative reviewers report unprofessional payment practices, inadequate supervision, and concerns about child safety and staff responsiveness.
I have NEVER seen where a Daycare CONSTANTLY requested payment, discussed financial issues of other parents, and showed lack of professionalism. Ms. Miller constantly sent my Daughter text messages about payment that WASN'T due. She requested that she paid a week in advance as her staff needed to be paid and people have left without paying her. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! On the days I would drop him (my Grandson) off, the staff did not seem compassionate as he cried (for being new). My Grandson went a total of 8 days and we decided that Eastside was NOT a good fit for him. I do NOT recommend this daycare AT ALL!
After reading MY review, Ms. Miller (the owner) sends my Daughter a message. ( a couple of weeks AFTER the review) As a consumer, we have the right to write our experiences. That's why it's called a "Review". I have NEVER had a business owner to respond this way. Again, this shows lack of professionalism. My concern is if she displays this type of attitude over a review, how are the kids being treated once she gets upset. Definitely NOT recommended!! Way too many issues and backlash!!
Terrible facility- bare minimum supervision of children. Problems go unresolved, and abuse is supported. I was told by the staff that the hands and bottoms of feet don’t leave bruises. This is not an approach that should be endorsed by a childcare facility.
Eastside was such a blessing for me and my kids. Ms. Miller and her team loved and cared my kids as their own. My son was having trouble with his speech, by the time he started 5k, he was speaking more clearly, he recognized all letters and numbers, could write all letters and numbers, could spell his name. More than prepared for school. As well as my little girl, more than prepared for 5k. After 3 years of our kids attending, it saddens me that this is the last year our kids will be going to Eastside. They've been such a huge help in taking care of my kids. I knew they were safe, feed, and loved. Thanks so much Eastside. I will forever be grateful for you!🥰🥰
My kids have been in daycare all of their life, and this is THE best one I’ve experienced yet. So sad that summer is over, because they go to laurens schools, they have to transition back to after school in Laurens. We are locked in for summer next year however. Ms Brenda and her staff go above and beyond to take care of the kids and to keep them involved. My kids are enrolled for the summer, and they have a reading program, and even helping them with math on their grade level. Over the years, I’ve dealt with toxic daycare management that caused so much stress in my life, however within a Eastside daycare it is never any toxicity, drama, or anything. She talks to you and respects you, and I love how she makes us feel needed as well as we need her. She is amazing. Her passion for children is amazing. She was a nurse for over 40 years and Because of her previous programs for children she was lead to open a daycare. It is blessing many. My heart is heavy that we are having to end at the end of this summer, I even reconsidered relocating the kids School enrollment, but it wouldn’t work out. If you are looking for a daycare, she would definitely be a great place for your children to be nurtured and to grow. Wish I could give more stars.
