This is a place that has the potential to be great, I went their I checked in voluntarily with my daughter I stayed there for almost a month and checked myself out because of the other mother that was there, I spoke up about an issue I had in a house meeting and the person I was talking about got upset and decided to mess with my property and then informed me that she would have her children push my daughter off the playground. I told staff and the only thing they did was told her to give me my things back, I would have liked to finish the program, but I do think they're a little too strict. (i.e phone rules, and you should be able to smoke cigarettes)

Gotta be One of the worst mental health/drug rehabs.Once your loved one gets in there its hard to find out any info such as what they can have,They might get one call a week,They dont tell you how your loved one is doing so you can help with their rehab but want you to do 6 classes which is very useful if applied. My friend got kicked out after doing 7 months in there because she didnt feel good and wanted to go to a doctor. They have compassion posted all on the web site but this facility must not have got the mission statement.I have been hung up on multiple times and even challenged by the program director to try to get some change in their write up system...Right after I started making waves they kicked my friend out wasted 7 months of her life for no good reason...This place dont need to be a treatment facility by the way its ran.I will accept the challenge to bring change there even if my friend isnt there.

I went in voluntary and left 5 days in on an AMA because I was disgusted by the organization and Cathy is 1000% in it for the money with no care of the children or women getting better. To the women saying it works if you work it were most likely forced to stay as 75% of the girls were marchman acted or baker acted to stay for 6 months. If you have the opportunity to go somewhere private pay, take your money elsewhere. I didn't feel safe bringing my son here and since I've been out have done 90 in 90 so please don't say you need this program. All SMA facilities need the state to invest because the care is unsafe and dangerous! My therapist is thankful I stood firm in my decision and if i had stayed, it may have been detrimental to my well being.

More can be done for the women. There is no job training or resources upon release. Most women go to The Neighborhood Center in Deland upon release and it’s an a drug infested area. The average stay is 6months and you will leave with absolutely nothing. The women are allowed to reunify with their children if they have a DCF case. There are kids up to age 5 residing there and they can not go to the playground unless they are at daycare. Not ideal for bigger kids. You will get sober being there but the turn around rate to continue to go back is high. It’s like a Project Warm Alumni. Add more resources and it will have more stars. I’m blessed I had my home to come back to and so many others do not…..

This place is undeniably good for women who WANT to be clean and sober! I know this place HELPS women and their families! The thing some people fail to understand is, it is 100% up to the woman herself, whether or not she'll succeed. The tools provided here have proven to help immensely. No, they won't have cell phones and their access to ANY phone is very limited and monitored. If they leave on their own, they'll almost certainly be removed from the program AND go to jail in many cases. I've seen it happen more than once. Women who choose to go here MUST be ready to "fold" and WANT to get beyond addiction. If they are, this place will help them survive, get on their own feet, learn to take responsibility for their actions, learn what triggers their addictions and how to avoid these things. I've seen it work and I'm a guy, so I saw from outside. I did attend the 12 week program for those supporting someone inside and that helped me understand my loved one better and help her avoid triggers after the program, even if she failed to complete it herself.
