What Parents Say
Easter Seals North Texas Child Development Center receives overwhelmingly positive feedback, with most parents praising the specialized therapy services (ABA, speech, OT, PT) and skilled staff that help children make significant developmental progress. However, a few parents report concerns about diagnostic accuracy, lack of individualized treatment plans, and billing practices.
Best decision we have made for our kiddo. Our child has progressed leaps and bounds, thanks to the teachers/ therapists. ABA, Speech, Physical, Occupational therapists have been exceptional.
My family is so thankful for the Eastern Seals ABA, Speech, and OT program. Our son was not verbal and when he was it was difficult to understand him. With in a few months he started to make eye contact, and interact with other kids. He has made so much progress this year. If you are considering this program interview the team. They care about their kids. Thank you Mo, Rachel and Aria for all you do.
The preschool program that runs out of the Child Development Center is phenomenal! They have low student to teacher ratios and more degreed teachers/staff than most other preschools. I have had children in other excellent preschool programs but have found the Child Development Preschool Program does a much better job of teaching kids executive function skills, emotional intelligence and independence (which are so important) while still teaching traditional preschool academics (following TEKS guidelines) so kids are academically prepared for kindergarten.
We won the jackpot with the Child Development Program. The small classes, brightly decorated room with toys that capture the kiddo's sensory needs, caring and compassionate carers and administrators. Definitely lucky that kiddo gets to experience the magic of the Easterseals CDP.
They did a horrible job with my children. My toddler was hearing impaired, but they said she was fine. They did speech with her for 6 months. Then they said she must have autism because she does not look at them when they speak to her. I finally took her to Callier Center where they did a REAL hearing test and she was found to be profoundly hearing impaired. I only actually switched because Easter Seals made a billing mistake. They did not contact me on this mistake. Instead, when we showed up for an appointment, they demanded we pay them, in full, for the extra amount, which was more than $1000, immediately, or not be seen that day. I pointed out that the therapist would just be sitting there with no child for the session time if she could not be seen. They told me they did not care. They wanted the money immediately or my child would not be seen. We left and went to Callier. I was floored when I found out that after 6 months with in speech, the Easter Seals speech pathologist was too incompetent to recognize a hearing impairment, something she should have been an expert at.
