Early Learning Cnt Of Brookings

Our 3yo loves going to the SDSU Early Learning Center! His teachers, Lydia and Taylor are so kind, thoughtful, and know each of the kids' individual personalities and preferences. I know my kid is in good hands while there 😊.

I am very grateful to have the opportunity for my son to attend the Early Learning Center Preschool! The teachers are amazing! The classrooms are fun learning environments teaching science, art, reading, handwriting, manners, and more. I love the idea they are adjacent to United Living Community and visit “grandparents” regularly. The coordinators and teachers promote a collaborative approach with families. I highly recommend this center for anyone seeking childcare!

My 2 year old and 5 month old attended the Early Learning Center, so we experienced the infant program and the toddler program. I can't say enough good things about the team at ELC-Bright Horizons! I always felt So SAFE leaving my babies at the facility; the teachers in the infant room were very caring and professional. They listened to my concerns and questions about developmental goals. The infant program makes sure the babies are developing and growing-there's never a "set them on the floor or a bouncer and forget them" mentality like some other care programs employ. The babies get LOTS of one on one attention. They are loved and snuggled so much. The toddler program was excellent. My son's vocabulary developed so much thanks to the great teachers. They are very attentive to ensure a safe environment and to communicate any concerns promptly so we as parents could follow-up. The administrative staff (Barb, Tara, and Alexa) were critical as well to making sure I always knew what was going on at the center and in my children's lives. They make safety a priority! I will miss this center SO MUCH! They are worth the wait!

My family and I moved to Brookings in 2016 and we were in search for a childcare provider for our two children at the time. We were so fortunate to have found Bright Horizons (Early Learning Center) of Brookings! The directors, staff and teachers are just amazing! Our children have learned so much both inside (academic) and outside (social) the classroom. When I go to pick them up each day, they are eager to tell me about what they learned, what activities they did and who they played with. This past year we have added a third kiddo to our family and she now goes to the same center. With our three children, we have experienced every age specific classroom and have been nothing but impressed. My husband and I feel extremely comfortable dropping our children off each morning because we know they are in a safe learning environment. The center encourages a partnership with the parents so it truly is a team effort. The directors plan events, both fun and educational, for families to get involved. The teachers communicate daily with the parents on what their child has accomplished that day - learning objectives, activities, meals, naps, etc. The communication is through the My Bright Day app and the teachers include pictures of my kiddos as well as class activities. There is always a friendly face at the front to greet us as we come in during the morning and at the end of the day! We absolutely love Bright Horizons and all the people who are part of it! I would highly recommend this center if you are looking for childcare. It's a great place when my two older children are excited to come to school each day!

Our son has been in the infant room since July. The level of care, love, and attention to developmentally informed learning is outstanding. The teachers and staff are kind, compassionate and first rate. We strongly recommend The Early Learning Center to anyone looking for top notch childcare and education.
