What Parents Say
Early Connections @ Antlers Place receives mixed reviews with strong praise for learning outcomes, staff friendliness, and healthy meals, but serious concerns about health/sanitation practices, staff conduct toward complaining parents, theft issues, and inconsistent health protocols. Several parents report positive experiences, while others cite significant problems that led them to withdraw their children.
If I could give 0 I would! My son jacket has got stolen 3 times from this school. They have done nothing to help the problem. Not send out a notice nothing not letting parents know they need to double check to make sure they not taking other kids stuff. His name is on his stuff and these parents steal from others homes is sad. When I told them I wasn’t going to send him with another jacket and they needed to find somewhere else for him to go due to the weather outside she said she didn’t know where to send him. Well how is that my problem when I do as I should as a mom and his stuff continues to get stolen. Today was his last and final day being stolen from. That is trash behavior and I refused to have my son around people that will be teaching their kids the same thing. If you’re ok with your stuff being constantly taken this is the school for you. But if not HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED
My time here has come to an end but overall I was happy with how my daughter was taken care of. Toddlers was amazing and then her next level was too. The only thing I wish they had is a camera to see my baby....big thing for parents using daycare for the first time to KNOW they are taken care of. Much better than a standard daycare, my daughter learned A LOT here and I'm happy with Rochelle the Director too. She seemed to know me pretty good and made recommendations for my baby knowing how I would feel about them so I appreciated that. The ONLY problems i encountered was when I saw other parents who ignore the parking lot one way system...drove me nuts. Signs would help out there. And I feel children with behavioral issues should be in a class together and not with everyone because it's not fair to the good kiddos. Other than that- great job guys. Staff were wonderful!
this school is simply amazing. Both of my sons attend and they have developed so much. They love going to school and they love all of the teachers. Rochelle is amazing
Due to a third situation with the center director I have to decrease my original review. She refused my son care at her center despite my son being clear of a fever over 24hrs with a doctor note showing negative test results for 3 tests: Influenza, strep & COVID-19. She told me she did not "believe" his fever had reduced after a lengthy visit to the urgentcare. I personally can not afford to rearrange my schedule because of an opinion. I am strongly considering changing daycare as I have anxiety thinking about communication with her as she is extremely argumentative in my opinion. 🙃 😕
My children have been going for a year and I have recently had to find them an appropriate facility as antlers place isn't one anymore. My kids were hospitalized due to improper sanitation and sick kids not being called, which is so unfair to those poor kids and their parents who undoubtedly would have taken them home if called but hey, the center cares more about its numbers than health. After Melissa Downs telling me she was the director when I called to complain (she's not, Rebecca is) I called the enrollment center and Julie sent someone over to re teach sanitation and sick leave. Since then she has literally been making faces at me, refusing to talk to my kids when they are dropped off while greeting other kids in front of them, and when I told Rebecca she told me I was making it up. My poor kids are being treated badly and ignored by the staff because the center got them sick and I spoke out. Terrible place and their only saving grace is their teachers, who I have seen have a high turnover rate and have heard it's because they can't stand management either. Don't put your kids here. Also Melissa was telling another mom the mashed potatoes tasted like cardboard when she was going over the menu with a mom with a picky eater and my kids always say they are hungry when I pick them up so there food is horrible (as Melissa said herself).
