My 4-year old has been enrolled in this nursery school since she was 2.5 years. We were looking for a non-daycare environment that was more like a school to provide her with a non-chaotic atmosphere with limited transitions during the day -- and this school met the mark! That first year she got a great welcome to a school setting and had very warm, loving teachers that made her feel comfortable, settled, and interested in what nursery had to offer. The importance the school places on social and emotional learning is critical (and really necessary these days), and I feel it has made her empathetic, kind, and a great communicator. She loves going to school every day - we literally never argue about it - which is sooo different than my experiences with my older kids at this age when they were in daycare...they simply did not enjoy going in. The other parents are really nice, with great kids of their own, and I think we made the right choice for our youngest.

They go above and beyond, are accessible to any concerns outside of the classroom, and will be a partner in your child’s growth and development. This school has helped both of my children, with very different personalities, gain independence and learn to love school. I cannot recommend it enough!
After exploring many preschools in the area, we could not be more pleased that we chose DNPCCNS for our children. They have blossomed in the nurturing and enriching classroom environments created by the teachers. Each day, they run into school with huge smiles on their faces. The teachers and staff truly go above and beyond to meet the social-emotional and academic needs of each student. All of the head teachers are experienced and state certified. There is also a strong sense of community among the families, and there are various student events throughout the year to help foster these relationships. We are so grateful for everything DNPCCNS has done for our family. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm and caring preschool that also prepares children for future success in elementary school.
We are so thankful for the warm and caring atmosphere of this school! The teachers at DNPCCNS make it a priority for each child to feel that they're special and supported. Our children have developed valuable academic and social skills and our whole family has made many memories that we will always treasure!
We love Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church Cooperative Nursery School. Our 3 daughters went there and my husband did too as a kid. This tiny nursery school is a gem and we wish it went to 12th grade 🙂. Their Reggio Emilia teaching approach is SEL style, probably the precursor to modern day SEL curricula. The principal, Mrs Fruh, is a genius at childhood development and pedagogy. Overall can’t say enough of how wonderful it is!
