Dr. Day Care IV - Smithfield

Tried to enroll my daughter and while the center and their facilities were adequate, the process to try to get her in was rife with misinformation. I cannot fathom how in the year 2025, there is not a centralized system where one center can see another’s availability. I understand there are challenges in the space but we would consistently get the wrong information on availability and would end up with unnecessary delays because of it. My family and I did not feel valued in the process and frankly left a bad taste in my mouth. It is not a fault of the employees, let me make that abundantly clear, it is the mismanagement of the intake process that is the reason why I’m writing this review. I will have to look at other options and I am hard-pressed to recommend this facility (and the entire network) to my friends and family.

Our son started here at 8 mo the old and loves going to daycare everyday! The tag communicate very clearly and effectively. I love that they use an app during the day and I can see my son’s day in real time. They do enriching activities and he has fun everyday. It’s so tough to leave your little one in the hands of others, but the DDC Smithfield, I know my son is happy and well taken care of. Highly recommend this daycare.

Dr Daycare Smithfield location is absolutely amazing. Sending my son to daycare was extremely hard for me (as it is for any parent). I was nervous and worried to send him, but the team at Dr Daycare Smithfield was understanding, sensitive, and handled all my questions (I had tons!). My son started at 1 year old and my Step Daughter also went through the entire daycare. Now she is in Kindergarten and is learning to read and write at a fast pace. Not only does the daycare keep your kids safe and healthy with lots of exercise and playing - they also prepare them for school. My son comes home saying a new word everyday, and loves doing art projects. They even taught him how to blow his nose. His teachers Miss Jessica and Miss Kandace are incredible, and I consider them part of our family now. They have a special bond with my son and really care for him. If you are skeptical and nervous to send your child to daycare. I hear you and I was you, but now I love this daycare and it is such a huge part of our lives. Also they follow all COVID guidelines as directed by the DOH and CDC. Always wearing masks and keeping everything disinfected and clean. I have had no concerns with their compliance. We all just want our kids to be safe!

The best thing we did as parents so far is enroll both of our girls into DDC. It all started 4 years ago and we never looked back! They learn SO much every single day, create friendships, and are so loved and cared for by all of the staff. The staff goes over the top every single day to provide the best experience for our family and everyone else who attends. I highly recommend them and am so thankful for everyone at Dr Day Care Smithfield.

Absolutely terrible, broken toys in play yard, teachers over worked and on their phone most of the time at pick up and drop off not welcoming AT all. Teachers complain about being over ratio & administrators will lie to you about it and say the teacher is lying! My daughter only went here for 4 days and they were already discussing termination because she cried for me during nap time!
