Dovers Childrens Village

WARNING DOVER CHILDRENS VILLAGE Though this daycare comes highly recommended, I had an absolutely terrible experience with them. Not only did they accuse my daughter of doing something without documentation to back it up, they kicked my children out after only 3 days of attendance (they gave us our notice). My daughter (4) attended the daycare for 2 full days and 1 half day when they accused her of biting a staff member. My daughter has NEVER bit anyone before. She attends Pre School half of the day and even her teachers and therapist said that biting is not something that she has done or they believe she would do. I have also talked to our previous daycare where my daughter also did not exhibit this behavior. So my question is why would they say that she bit someone but not have an incident report, video, or other documentation to prove that this event happened? My personal belief is that they are discriminating against my children, and I do not say that lightly. My daughter is on the Autism Spectrum and my son is being evaluated later this month. I was open and honest about this before enrolling my children into their daycare center. I don’t understand their issue with my children but it is very clear that they had one. In addition, they utilize the app called Bright Wheel, which many daycares use to communicate with parents regarding their children’s care. Not 1 single update was made on the app regarding my children. Not 1. They attended that daycare for 7 days and not once were they checked in, out, or documented. In short, I must warn any parents looking for childcare in the Dover area of their practices and subpar communication.

I do not recommend this daycare at all!! The director at this establishment believes she is a doctor who can make diagnosis to kids and will ask for your child to not attend daycare even with a doctor note. They believe the doctor is wrong and doesn’t know what they are doing. If you was to bring in a doctor note to show the child is cleared to return, they will override the note and still will not allow your child to attend until they are ready for your child to return which becomes an inconvenient if you are a working parent. The director (Louise) is very nasty and unprofessional. She does not know how to address a parent concern without being combative. I was shoved out the door with my child in my arms by this unprofessional director. I will recommend going on the child care licensing websidte and reading the reports of this facility before thinking to enroll. I do not recommend this daycare to anyone.
