Choosing a daycare is such an emotional decision, and like so many parents, I felt a lot of apprehension about entrusting my child to anyone else’s care. From the very beginning, though, DOT Tot put us at ease. The teachers and director are genuinely kind, attentive, and deeply invested in the well-being of every child. It’s clear they see and care for the children as individuals, not just names on a roster. Knowing that this is a non-profit center makes such a difference too, there’s a real sense that resources are going where they matter most: the kids, the staff, and the quality of care. DOT Tot also provides wipes and diapers along with all meals & snacks - this is incredibly helpful and provides peace of mind when we are running out of the door! My child has truly thrived here, socially and emotionally, and it’s been incredible to watch their confidence and independence grow in such capable, loving hands.

I highly recommend DOT Tot for childcare services. I am truly grateful to have found DOT Tot for my 18-month-old son. The Director is extremely committed to the health and safety of the children, and the staff and teachers have been with DOT Tot for many years—some for decades—which really shows in their level of experience. Each morning, I feel confident leaving my son there, knowing he is in caring and capable hands. My wife and I also appreciate that DOT Tot is a non-profit, ensuring our tuition goes directly towards enhancing the program and facilities.

I would highly recommend DOT tot! My children currently attend here and have for the past 2+ years. Finding childcare initially was such a difficult task. I am a “planner” and had toured many places and got on waitlists early at the time. Initially I didn’t think dot tot would be in my top choices because we do not live near or work downtown so location wise it was not ideal and even today is quite far but so worth it for both the overall cost and quality care! I remember with many tours liking some other facilities that felt big and new, because dot tot is an older building in general, but when I asked about the more important aspects, like teacher retention and years of service, some of the “newer” places had major red flags, like teachers that have all only been there a year, or the most seasoned person being there “3 years” while dot tot blew me away- they have 2 teachers that have been there since the 80’s! The director is very proactive and has been there 20+ years and most other staff have been going on at least 3-5+ years now. This really speaks to the culture of the place and that they treat each other well and care about the work they do. I have also seen over time with my little ones and the various classrooms how helpful they are across all the rooms and with each other as an overall center. This gave me such great peace of mind compared to considering either a nanny at home that would have no accountability from someone else around, or larger centers that seemed like each class was their own “island” with little support from other teachers. Logistically, they also provide ALL the wipes, diapers, and milk [once they’re past breastmilk/formula] meals and snacks. This makes packing up SO much easier each day, and that being included into the cost is amazing. It is still one of the most affordable places somehow, likely because it is a non-profit! It also has a board of directors run by current parents so participation is really key and helpful and has kept up a culture of people that truly care about the kids, the environment they’re learning in, and the teachers well-being too. I may come to later regret this review if I eventually have another baby and then there’s a longer waitlist now for this awesome center, but your little ones would be in very caring hands here! It is never easy to hand over your most precious baby to anyone, but these gals are amazing in the daily work they do- they are so calm, patient and kind with them and truly care for the children they look after.

My 18-month old son has been at DOT Tot since he was 7 months, and we love it. The director and staff are excellent and consistent–two of the three teachers in his room have been with DOT Tot for 40+ years. The vibe of DOT Tot is calm, experienced, and caring. The facility is not shiny new and sparkling, and the food is not organic, but my son is so, so happy to be there every day, and I am so happy to have a childcare center that I trust entirely. This is the place for you if you are a working parent who wants the best for their kiddo but also lives in a reality where things like affordability and flexibility matter. Bonus great things about DOT Tot: they provide diapers, wipes, and food; they are a non-profit with a Board of Directors made up of parents; they have a plan for (and experience) dealing with problematic behaviors like biting; it is always easy to get ahold of someone either via phone, email, or their parent messaging app.

My 3.5 year old daughter has been at DOT Tot since she was 6 months old. We have had nothing but good experiences. I picked this center for several reasons including the preference to state employees, providing health insurance to teachers, and staff longevity. My daughter is excited to go and always in a great mood when we pick her up.
