I recently withdrew my son from this daycare due to several concerning incidents. First, I witnessed an employee, a Hispanic woman working from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m., pushing a child's head back while screaming at him to stop! She didn't notice I had entered the room, and upon seeing me, appeared surprised that I witnessed the incident. Following this, I decided to avoid dropping my son off before 8:00 a.m. to avoid interactions with her. The second issue arose when I consistently heard this same employee loudly screaming at the children. Her tone and volume were excessive, and I do not believe this was an appropriate way to manage children. Specially, if I could get her scream all the way from the front door. The final incident occurred when my husband picked up our son, who had a swollen cheek and significant bruising. The staff informed him that our son had tripped and fallen into the corner of a piece of furniture. They claimed they had attempted to call me multiple times, yet I received no such calls. Right after I talked to my husband I decided to call them to ask why I was not notified about the situation, and the staff member told me that "they called me and sounded like I had answered but didn't say anything" which if that would've been the case the call would've been registered on my call log! When my husband first picked up my son they told him they attempted to call me multiple times which is not the same thing I was told when I called. So I knew she was lying! I never received a single call from them!! And I work from home and always have my phone available and I could have picked up my son since they claim the accident happened at 10:00 am. The inconsistency in their stories raised further concerns about the trustworthiness of their communication. Due to their inconsistent communication and overall sketchy behavior, I now question the accuracy of their explanation regarding what happened to my son. This has led me to doubt whether the incident occurred as they described. Given the poor treatment I observed firsthand and the sketchy communication following the incident, I made the decision to remove my son from this daycare. I would not trust this place!! Let alone staff!!
Both my children love their teachers Ms. Melissa and Ms. Chelsea. Everyone is so friendly. The owner Ms. Sherri is so easy to talk. Sherri was very helpful with my daughter who needed a little help at the beginning because she is so shy and timid and had great ideas to help her out. It's awesome when we drive by on the weekends and my daughters yells with excitement "my school". Things like that let me know she is enjoying Discovery.
My 2 yr old daughter started going there after our move and the staff and teachers are so friendly and nice to help us get adjusted better. She loves her teacher and has so much fun. They are always doing learning activities , hands on , and art work everyday.
My daughter has been going here since February of 2017. She loves it and I do to. The staff are amazing and caring. My daughter is thriving and loves spending time here. The summer program for the school age kids is wonderful and chalked full of activites and fun. My little girl is growing into her own, making friends and becoming independant. The staff watch over her like she is their own. If you are looking for a place that you can trust with your little one, look no further. The hours are perfect to. I feel comfortable leaving my child here and see that she is to. Remember folks, that those bad reviews often times have to do with things that happened that the daycare is not actually responsible for and because they had to take action, people were not happy because of that. Never have I had issues here. They communicate with me about everything. And once, my picky eater went on and on about a lunch she had there that it was so good, well when I called a couple days later. They tracked down what they had so I could fix it for her at home. That is a place that cares!!!!!
My son goes here and has been going here for about a year and it has been amazing! The staff is fantastic and they actually care unlike some other daycares! 10/10 recommend to anyone. They are friendly, sweet and knowledgeable.
