What Parents Say
Discovery Point #33 receives mostly very positive reviews with parents praising the caring, dedicated staff and long-term enrollment. However, two recent reviews raised concerns about staff turnover, poor communication, limited teaching experience, and unresponsive management.
My daughter has attended this school for over 3 years! She just love it! From the admin staff to the teachers they are all wonderful and take great care of my sweetie! She loves them and they love her right back. I can have peace of mind while having to work knowing she is getting the best care, attention, and love! Thanks to all of you!!
I can honestly say I love this school for my children! I have two small kids who have attended Discovery Pointe in Paulding for almost four years now. I especially LOVE the teachers here. They are amazing and I think they should get more recognition for that. It's hard to find someone who loves and cares for your children the way you would as a parent, but they love the kids like they are their own. That is really hard to find in today's world. My kids come home saying their numbers, ABCs, the cutest art work.... the list goes on and on! Really it's a great school and I can't say enough great things about the staff. The teachers and staff are really what makes this place feel like a second home to us.
My little one was here for two years with small issues along the way. There have been LOTS of changes with staff and upper management with little to no communication to parents which is a problem for me. My daughter was in the preschool room as teachers changed weekly. I spoke with the director about improving communication with introductory blurbs about the new people and still nothing. My kid didn't know the names of her teacher!! The teachers in the room have limited experience with teaching kids....not just watching them- there is a difference. The final straw for me was after a week of incidences, (one resulted in a state report) I wrote an email to the director and area director with my concerns and never received any acknowledgement of my email. I removed my daughter and am happy with the results this far.
I have had a really amazing experience with this establishment. My favorite thing throughout the day is the ability to call and reach Ms. Tiara and ask about my infant if I am ever concerned or worried or even want to know how much she is drinking/how mant diapers she has had. I love the security of the facility and it is almost like Ms. Tiara treats my child as her own. She gets excited to notify me of developmental milestones my daughter has reached, new things she notices about her, or any concerns she has. I could NOT ask for a better caretaker for my child and FULLY trust her. I am amazed with how caring and absolutely wonderful she is. My experience is always extremely pleasant with the rest of the staff and they ALWAYS are happy to help, return any calls, and immediately notify me of any little thing they think I would want to know. I cannot RAVE about them ENOUGH. GIVE MS. TIARA A RAISE!! LOVE THEM!!! 5 STARS!!!
Care in toddler room is not up to par. If you want your child injured every week this is the place to bring them. Especially in the 2 year old class. Management does not feel it appropriate to move staff members that failed to provide correct aid or not paying attention to the children. They lie on incident reports of injury. The infant, beginners, and prekindergarten teachers are amazing but this location needs to be investigated as a child death will be next to follow with certain staff members still being employed.
