Our daughter attended school at Discovery Place for two years. She was in the 1 yr old class and 2 year old class. We have nothing but great memories of this place and know that our child was loved and cared for by everyone there.
My daughter enrolled my grandchildren in this daycare. One was in the 3 year old class and the other was in the afternoon school class. Both of them loved going and the teachers were the best. They picked my grandson up from school. He loved riding the bus with his friends. The teachers always gave me an activity sheet telling her about their day and what they ate during the day. At Halloween everyone dressed up and went from room to room trick-or-treating. They loved their teachers and it gave me peace of mind at work knowing my children were in good hands. I would highly recommend them.
Discovery place child care center is one of the best child care facilities in hampstead. My daughter started when she was 1 1/2 years old and she is now 7. I also have a 17 month old son who attends the one year old class and he lovesss everyone there. I trust the staff with my children and I will not put them in another facility. I LOVE THE STAFF, they are so genuinely sweet and they truly care about my two children. I definitely don’t worry when I leave and I Would recommend this child care facility to anyone looking for child care.
My daughter had the privilege to go here. I absolutely love this place!! It’s clean, they care about the children. My daughter loved her teachers and had so much fun! I wouldn’t consider taking any of my kids anywhere else. Highly recommend to anyone!!!
When I went to drop my son off the woman who answered the door did not introduce herself and grabbed my son out of my arms and walked away. I chalked it up to first drop offs being tough. When I went to pick my son up I was allowed in (why wasn’t I allowed in For first drop off?) AGAIN no one introduced themselves, the building smelled of urine (more than fresh dirty diapers like dirty diapers that have been there a long time if your a parent you know what I mean), staff wore masks under their chin and some barefoot. My son was just getting up from a nap he was unusually drowsy and actually fell over by the front door. All staff walked away before I even left. I got an intake sheet of what he ate that day and felt it was not honest. I told owner about my experience, how I was disappointed and that my son wouldn’t be returning. I got no apology or attempt to address my concerns. To add to this the ratio in the room (of 2 and under) was 17 children to 2 teachers. One of my sons teachers said (after I had picked him up) she is not even in the room during lunch or snack so that leaves 1 teacher to all of these kids which is unsafe and probably illegal. I checked reviews that night and saw one bad review and it mentioned that a name similar to staff member she spoke with had commented right after her mentioning same policy she had and issue with…I’m pretty sure that was the same name as owner I saw on paperwork. Pretty unprofessional if that is the case. I had a feeling something was off when I tried calling multiple times prior to starting and often no one would answer. 🤷🏻♀️ Do your research and listen to your gut.
