After my 3 year old son was excused from an in home daycare, we landed at DLC with hope and a prayer that he would be successful in this new environment. These last few months have been an incredible experience for our son at Discovery learning center. The teachers here are so experienced and have helped him work through plenty of challenging behaviors. Our son has HIGH energy and comes home thoroughly exhausted from playing all day. After interviewing a dozen preschools, it was the outdoor environment and student-lead learning that drew us to DLC. We are looking forward to the continued days ahead at DLC for our son to learn, grow, and be nurtured. We drive 30 minutes each way to attend, and it’s absolutely worth it.
I cannot express how much I LOVE DLC! They have an incredible philosophy focused on play, building independence, practicing social-emotional skills, and so much more. The staff is deeply loving and committed and many of them have been teaching there for a long time. Each child is treated with respect and honored for their individuality. The teachers work really hard to communicate closely with parents and support the children in every way they can. My daughter started at DLC when she was 2.5 and stayed until she started Kindergarten at 5. She absolutely thrived and grew in so many unbelievably beautiful ways thanks to the teachers! I will absolutely be enrolling her in the summer school-age program and cannot wait for our youngest to start at DLC soon! I love love love this preschool!
I have sent two of my children through DLC, one 10 years ago, and one is currently enrolled. The staff has changed over the years but they are a very careful judge of who teaches there. Every single Teacher I have been impressed with. Your kid will come home with sand but more importantly, they will come home learning, laughing, tuckered out, and wanting to go back. They have a loving and nurturing style and help the kiddos figure out their mistakes 1 on 1. It is a wonderful place and if I had another kid I would send them to DLC again.
Sending both of our children to Discovery Learning Center has been one of the greatest decisions we have made for our family. We toured many preschool programs and none of them matched our vision. When we toured Discovery Learning Center, we knew instantly that this was everything we were hoping a preschool would be. The environment was welcoming and full of things to discover. The staff is incredibly kind and their knowledge of child development is phenomenal. They truly take a holistic approach and meet your child exactly where they are in the process of growing. We have both a neurotypical and neurodivergent child. Both have completely flourished at Discovery Learning Center and there is no other preschool we would trust more! ❤️
DLC is the best!! I went to DLC from when I was two years old until the end of sixth grade. The teachers are so patient, caring, and kind. They emphasize exploration based play and truly care about every aspect of development. I loved every one of my years there and would come come at the end of each day so excited and happy. I highly recommend Discovery Learning Center!
