Direct Thy Path Daycare

I had the experience of my life today visiting Direct Thy Path Daycare - run as fast as you can! Let me just say a waste of time. First off when I entered the facility it did not have a pleasant smell and the outside is raggedy. The owner/ director of the facility Ms. Sandy is unprofessional. I entered the facility I’m approached by someone and I instantly asked for Sandy. Sandy approaches greets me at the front and advises me that she has all of her parents use foot covers before entering the facility. Then, she goes on asking me what school was my son at prior. I told her I would not want to disclose which school he went to prior because it is best and I don’t think it’s relevant. But I did mention to her that because it was some concerns and health issues my son was hospitalized for a few days that is the reason he is no longer there and the facility is in Bolingbrook. She goes on to say - “I am very selective of the parents I choose and that I really don’t take new people only referrals”. I ended up leaving and our conversation was done. She was very unprofessional because if you knew you didn’t take new people why were you desperate to have me come tour your facility at 4:30pm today and then tell me that you weren’t accepting new people to turn me around. Secondly, is the reason why you don’t let anyone tour your facility because it isn’t up to code. I’m honestly livid that I wasted my time coming up to that raggedy daycare. If she wanted to know questions about the prior daycare she could have asked me over the phone before scheduling a tour. I would not recommend this facility the place is falling apart and the owner/director needs to get her priorities together. It was a blessing that I was turned around, you see the mess a mile away. Then you have the nerve to put a sign up that says now enrolling.

I love Ms. Sandi and her staff. Everyone is welcoming to my child and I every day (even my oldest child who does not attend). This center has been a great help to us and a place I can depend on with no worries. My child has attended the past 2 years and I've not had an issue, only assistance! - They gave me advice when potty training, when my child was sick, any personal concerns I've had on my child's development, and understanding childcare paperwork as well. Family like atmosphere.

My son has been going here for about a year & half and I have had nothing but a WONDERFUL and positive experience since day one!! Ms. Sandi & her staff are absolutely amazing! Everyone is passionate and caring towards every child that comes through the door. My wife and I have NEVER had a worry about our kid dropping our son off. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this facility to other parents.

I would never allow my son to come back here. They gave my son pork, when that was discussed with the directors Sandi & Brenda, along with the toddler teacher Jenn. Brenda the assistant said she thought sausage was cow. Like when she said that , I knew that it was time to move my baby around. They don’t have a set curriculum. My son came home with a scratch and I asked his teacher Jenn what happen. She just kept saying she didn’t know. You can’t tell me that and think it’s going to fly. Not only that, my mom had went and picked up my son for the first time, and nobody asked her for identification. She had on a mask, they had never seen her before or anything. It could’ve been a serial killer or anything. Thank god it was my mom! I reported all of this to the appropriate people. My child is my life and I’m not going to play about him at ALL. I wouldn’t bring my kids here!

Director Sandy is very unprofessional and does not know how to manage her workers, let alone a whole day care. Find a better place in Joliet and please don’t bring your kids here.
