Die Rasselbande Preschool

RB is a fantastic bilingual German-English preschool where learning happens through play, creativity, and fun. The play-based approach has allowed our son to explore freely while naturally absorbing both languages through songs, stories, and daily interactions. He loves it! The teachers are incredibly caring, making every child feel valued. The director fostered a strong sense of community. If you’re looking for a joyful, language-rich preschool that nurtures curiosity and connection, RB is the perfect choice.

This preschool is the best. My kid was very happy there and learned a lot. They have ample play time during which the kids explore important concepts, most importantly how to get along with the other kids. Our kid went there for two years. All teachers were awesome and the school also provides a very nice sense of community. They do a very nice job with the german immersion (father is german), but they also don't "overdo" it. Perfect immersion! 5 stars this preschool is fantastic! I wish I went to Rasselbande when I was a pre-schooler.

We feel EXTREMELY FORTUNATE for our daughter to have gone to Dei Rasselbande for her last two years of preschool. The owners and staff at this school truly understand what children need to flourish socially and develop confidence within themselves. And to add another value point, our daughter now fully understands and can broadly converse in German...even when only English is spoken at home. In attempting a brief summary, during her time at Rasselbande, our daughter gained great self-confidence, became a strong advocate for her needs, developed a great sense of empathy for others, learned how to resolve disputes with her peers, excelled at working as a team on the playground, developed thoughtful problem-solving skills, and most importantly she had a TON OF FUN while doing it all. Now that our daughter is in her second year of elementary school, we have observed how Rasselbande's approach to early childhood development is paying HUGE dividends for our daughter's next phase of learning, exactly as Rasselbande's director and staff explained it to me during my first meeting with them as we toured the preschool. One of the most common things I hear other parents say is how surprised they are to realize how much a preschool can positively impact not only their child's life but their lives (as parents) as well. This is exactly how my wife and I feel about Die Rasselbande. Our lives were also greatly impacted by Rasselbande, and we are better people because of it. This play-based, German immersion preschool, where the kids spend much of their time outside, is just AMAZING. We toured other schools, plus before Rasselbande our daughter was in another preschool having standard approaches to development and learning seen in most American preschools. We've since learned that these more prescribed and curriculum-based preschools don't accomplish what children truly need between 2-5 years of age. Children at this age need hands-on, real-world-based learning where challenges and problems to solve come organically through playing with other kids. By having learned the essential social skills needed for peer interactions during her time at Rasselbande, our daughter's brain can now focus more on learning how to count, read, write, created stories, understand how the world works, and much more. We can never thank Rasselbande enough for the love and developmental value they provided for our daughter. If your child can go to this preschool, you are truly fortunate, and you'll see the benefit to your child for years to come.

This is an incredible school and a great community! My child has thrived and blossomed here under the care of her teachers and the director, who are all kind, thoughtful, and experts at working with children. After 3 years here with no other German spoken at home, my child is now a fluent speaker. I recommend Rasselbande to anyone interested in child-led learning with a German language focus.

My child attended Die Rasselbande for nearly 4 years and it was such an amazing experience, both for him and for us. The love, care and commitment to the children was always exceptional. The level of attention towards development and educating the children is also top notch. And the community fostered through the staff, as well as the other families, current, past and upcoming, is nothing like I've ever experienced. We've moved onto Kindergarten now, but the time we had the Rasselbande will stay with us for a long, long time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great community, a great learning environment and a rich, German language experience.
