This school is amazing and is everything I wished for in a school for my child! The teachers are so kind, smart and caring and the academic program is beyond what many other preschools offer. My son who is 4 years old started here at the beginning of the school's summer session in late June 2020. I had wanted him to transition to this school from his previous preschool because Devonshire Preschool had such a strong academic program. When I had visited the year before and saw the work the 4 and 5 year olds were producing it was amazing. They were writing 5 letter words, such as "piece" perfectly and doing math and science. My son wanted to learn more and at his previous school there was just a little too much free play, where it felt like the kids were just being babysat and not stimulated with learning and fun activities. When he started I immediately saw a difference. Even during the summer session there was a fun subject theme each week. During Paleontology week they excavated dinosaurs and dinosaur bones out of sand and ice cubes and learned about fossils. During Pioneer week they churned fresh butter and sifted through dirt to find gold nuggets. During Impressionist Art Week they learned about Piet Mondrian, Robert Kree and Jackson Pollock and made amazing paintings that look just like the artists' paintings. When he came home and showed me the paintings he was so excited and he even taught me about the artists. I only knew about Jackson Pollock. During Health week they learned about the different organs in the body with a fun "Pin the organ" on the kids activity. Dashiell was loving his teachers, the kids and all the new activities. The academic school year started in late August and by the end of September he could write the alphabet by memory. He soon started to learn to write words and by early December he was reading words. He is now reading full stories, writing four letter words, can count to 100 and write all the numbers up to 100 and is doing math (basic addition and subtraction) which is his favorite subject. During the academic year there are still a lot of fun creative activities the kids do. Last week they built tee pees with sticks outside and did an experiment with eggs and the colors they turn when you put them in different drinks, so you can see how different drinks may effect the color of your teeth. The school is health conscious and doesn't allow the kids to bring snacks with more than 8 grams of sugar to school. And yes with all this the kids still get to play a ton! My son has made some wonderful friends in the 7 months he's been there and we have made friends with a lot of the parents too. We even have been setting up regular playdates at playgrounds with some of them during this COVID pandemic so the kids really get to have fun with each other and be kids during this tough time. The school has been really safe during COVID. There have been no outbreaks. The kids are really good about wearing their masks and honestly my son who usually got a runny nose at least once a month and a fever once every three months when going to day care has not had any since he started at Devonshire Preschool. He is healthier than ever. The ownership just recently changed, but the new owners are keeping everything the same and really seem like a lovely couple that really care about the school, the teachers, the parents and the kids. This school has really been a blessing. We are so thankful our son is lucky enough to go here and just hope that his future schools will live up to it.

My daughter attended Devonshire Preschool from age 2-4.5. She loved every single one of her teachers and learned so much from them. They potty-trained her completely, I didn't have to do a thing and their academic program is amazing. She was the most advanced child in her TK class and was even able to skip Kindergarten and start first grade a year early. She is excelling in elementary school and her teachers are always surprised to learn that she is a year younger then all of her classmates and this is all due to the wonderful start she received at Devonshire Preschool. I highly recommend this school if your looking for an academic based program for your young child.

My daughter was here for more than 2 yrs. In that time I noticed little things, not super clean nor really organized. I noticed teachers would come and go. They would never really stay. This last month I just kinda had enough when my daughter hit her head, started bleeding and the daycare called 911. There were 2 different stories getting told. Never really got a clear answer to what happened to my daughter. So we decided to leave. This school has only 2 really good people who work there. Other than them I do not recommend this school. They lie they hide stuff they are very unorganized, and they just hire anyone who really needs a job. Be careful with this daycare the owners are only in it to collect a check.

I had a horrible experience there with my son. He grew up at that preschool until the owner moved and gave it to somebody else who didnt even care about the children. My son had a wonderful teacher Ms Cynthia then she moved. That school is always changing teachers constantly. Teachers were fired at that day care center for yelling at my son and a few other children. My son was traumatized to the point that he didnt want to take his naps . I finally was told the truth after noticing that his behavior was way off. I do not recommend this school. They are very un organized and very bad in providing meals to the children. My son lost alot of weight until I found out why. They only provided one meal and he was there from 7 to 6PM. Not a very good place to leave your children. Unless they make good progress that school should be closed or investigated. Children are not being taught academically. Children were everywhere the teachers had no control over them. My son is very happy where he is now. He is well taken care of and he takes his naps everyday. He loves his new school and everytime we pass this day care he cries. I regret having my son at this day care center. I hope somebody looks into this school and conducts an investigation. Red flags all around. Teachers were getting fired and teachers were leaving after confessing the careless way other teachers were treating the children. If you take your child here please properly investigate this school ask for cameras ask to be there at all times I will never trust these teachers nor the day care ever again.

(Sorry for the lengthy review) We were referred to this daycare by my husband's ex-mgr who had sent both her children to this school. Ours almost 3 yr old son started at this daycare at 10 months of age for my husband and I both we had to resume work. As a first time mother, I drove to work all in tears after dropping my son at Daycare on the 1st day but within 1-2hrs of dropping him at the daycare, the teachers sent an update along with a picture of him to reassure that he was okay. We were constantly updated. For us, those teachers are angels, they took great care of our son, kept us updated and I can tell you that having medical background, I was very concerned prior to bringing him to school regarding a lot of things. Every possible scenario was going over my mind, including hygeine, regarding positioning when feeding the baby, safety interms of falls, head safety since he couldn't hold his neck on his own, and so on. I was so worried about any trauma/injury.and ofcourse getting sick since he was at a daycare... all these worries were at rest once I saw how vigilant the teachers were when caring for these babies. Great job with hand hygiene!!! Great job in ensuring kids were handled gently, spoken to softy. I've seen the teachers hold, feed, play and talk with these infants and I can say they are great at what they do, they provide great care, excellent attention to each child. The teachers guided me so much at every stage that I so appreciate them. I'm very happy with my son's development. My son is almost entering the 3yr old clasroom and I can say he is fully pottytrained. He comes home and updates me what he learnt in school, what activities he had done and its very impressive. I can see the enthusiasm when he talks about his teachers, his classmates and what he has to share regarding his day at school. I can't wait to send our 2nd baby to the daycare in a few months and my husband and I we know he will be in great hands. The school was under Miss Lorell and her daughter's leadership and they did an excellent job. As of this New Year, Miss Marian and her husband have taken over and we have had an opportunity to meet them virtually and we are equally happy for they also have experience under their belt and are equally enthusiastic in running the daycare in best possible direction and maintaining the excellent standards. I have to thank the wonderful teachers as they are the heart of this school esp Miss Brenna(KD loves you), Miss Amalia, Miss Nina, Miss Amanda, Miss Kim, Miss Laura, Miss Dulce, Miss Yasmin, Miss Liz, Miss Meredith, Miss Heather, Miss Esther...and the rest of the teachers, you all are just AMAZING!!! The school is doing everything they can to ensure safety of children esp during the pandemic. The teachers are frequently performing hand hygiene and also constantly emphasize hand washing with the little ones. I've witnessed them wipe the playground after each class is done and allow period of time before next class comes to the ground. The morning temp checks are not only done on teachers but also done on the child and the parent prior to child entering the school. Teachers and children above 2 yrs of age are all in masks. My son returned to daycare as of beginning July and is still attending. The school is doing the best they can given the circumstances and I'm so happy that my son attends here.
