I had been a member on and off for about 8 years when rejoined at the end of 2024. In the last few years it came under management of an individual who used to work for Kroenke sports and whose family has a curious list of quasi-related businesses in Colorado. This management change has not been for the better. Throughout 2025, I was harassed by numerous men at the DAC, including being groped by 2 board members. I reported my complaint to be met with 136 days of bureaucratic chenanigans, followed by involuntary termination of my membership. Rather than properly address the behavior of these men, they expelled a woman who spoke out about it. They've never offered women equal services - even down to the size of the lockers and towels, they refuse to offer equivalent services to women that they do offer to men. The place has become disgusting in other ways too - what used to be four restaurants serving quality food is now one pub serving overpriced fast food while daycare parents slam a beer and let their children run amok, closing at the ridiculously early hour of 8PM most of the week. Frequently, the facilities and services that should be part of a membership are shut down due to banquet bookings for outside events. Membership for a single adult is in the $330/month range. The value has been undercut while the price has doubled over the last 8 years. They have a coworking space, but I would strongly caution anyone against connecting to the wifi, as the password hasn't changed in over a decade and is well known throughout the city and beyond, potentially posing a huge information security risk for any device you connect.

For a club that markets itself as a premium athletic facility, the Denver Athletic Club is a disorganized, outdated mess. Most of the equipment is old, worn down, or borderline falling apart. The layout feels like a hodgepodge of random machines and spaces rather than a thoughtfully designed athletic club. Nothing feels cohesive, modern, or well maintained it all just feels old. The parking garage is a headache on its own and adds to the overall frustration. Inside, the swim lanes are routinely taken over by swim teams during peak hours, which defeats the purpose for members who actually want to swim. The locker rooms and bathrooms are hit or miss at best sometimes things work, sometimes they don’t. The grooming products are honestly outdated and a bit much, which just makes the whole space feel unhygienic rather than upscale. Food service is another disappointment. For what they’re trying to position themselves as, the food is simply bad and nowhere near the quality you’d expect. To top it off, we were required to do a “get two sponsors” process that other members we met never had to do, which was awkward, uncomfortable, and felt unnecessarily rude and inconsistent. Overall, the DAC feels like it’s coasting on its name and history rather than delivering a modern, high-quality experience. Definitely not worth the price.

The DAC has become my home away from home. The staff I've gotten to know over the past two years have demonstrated world-class hospitality and knowledge in their field/department and I can't help but relate it to being on set of a Mr. Rogers episode every time I'm there. Val who serves as concierge ensures the co-working space is an incredible environment for remote working -- she's willing and able to help anyone with just about anything and we all feel taken care of there. Daryl in the pub could not be a more kind or comforting presence and has become a club favorite for all of us. Gabe in the Cafe always makes an effort to get to know us, take care of us, and has become another figure I look forward to seeing throughout my day at the DAC. Matt Hartl who runs the leagues at the DAC (and so much more) goes to the ends of the earth to make sure every single member is getting the most out of each league -- he tracks scores, averages, teams to ensure handicaps are in place and championships are even, and is present in the countless leagues he runs as if that one league is the only thing he's managing. Kelly and Lorraine in the bowling alley demonstrate the highest end service even when dealing with some rowdy crowds over the years. Lorraine takes care of every member like they're one of her kids -- she's always asking me how I'm doing and spoils us all. Omar is the squash pro who puts up with my disastrous level of play -- in a few lessons he hasn't given up on me and makes the torturous learning curve a great time. Among my favorite at the DAC is Petra Storm who leads the DAC's Group Exercise and Fitness team is probably the best example of an expert in their field, passionate about her members' growth - wellbeing & development, what it means to be a leader in her org, and truly what it means to be a strong friend, mentor, and neighbor. She has been at the DAC i believe 23+ years and has developed a cult-like following in the best of ways. I recently started going to her workout classes where I found "Club P" -- a group of members who have been going to her classes for 20 years!!! It feels like a family reunion every class -- checking in on everyone's wellbeing, their families, and their personal hobbies all while making us all run stairs and push sleds until we're talked out. She is a culture leader at the DAC and has made it an environment we all leave stronger, more connected, and better versions of ourselves. I look forward to the years to come as a member to meet the rest of the staff that makes it all possible. Cheers to the DAC for hiring an incredible staff and for creating an environment that allows it's members to connect, work, play, and grow in our community.

I have shot weddings here; the venue is always well-maintained. The staff are easy to work with and they go above and beyond for the couples and their guests. The rooftop patio area is great for weddings and other celebrations.

We were excited to join the DAC, but it ended up being the biggest waste of money. Everything is very outdated and they are consistently renting out the space to non-members making it nearly impossible to use the gym or parking during normal hours. Absolutely NOT worth the money.
