I do sub-contracting work at many daycares in MD and PA. I can easily say without a doubt the staff at this facility have always been very rude to the kids, conatantly yelling and screaming at the children. I understand daycare work is not easy and can be very stressful, but I have not seen staff at any other daycare be as rude to the children so consistently as they are here. I would never send my own kids here. I highly recomend looking for daycare elsewhere for your own childs well-being. There is a much better facility 10 min away in Fawn Grove

I never thought I’d be doing this especially about another business but this is my kids daycare. Delta Christian Academy. I have debated on doing this or not but I think it’s best to make other parents aware. On July 30th my son was picked up and I was then called by DCA to inform me my son had a scratch and a red mark under his neck. When I had asked how? They said “my son” said a teacher did it. I then called whom picked him up and they made me aware that in fact my son had two marks on him. I went right to the school and sat down with the assistant Director and the pastor. When I asked who did it, they refuse to tell me they said that they had reported it to DHS and that they would get to the bottom of it. And I said to them that I hope they do because if they don’t, I will. I then went home and asked my son what happened and he told me Word for Word exactly what was done to him. In his words, he said that the teacher hurt him because he wasn’t listening. He then brought it to another teacher’s attention, and that teacher reported it to the assistant director. For the last four years that my children have gone there I have gotten a report on every incident that has ever happened. Besides this one until after the fact and it wasn’t even the teacher that did it to him. Even if a teacher has accidentally marked them by accident. I know for a FACT she was alone with him. I was told by another teacher. (Whom I will not disclose due to her privacy and her helpfulness) So this teacher not reporting what she did to my son shows all the guilt. He described the teacher with red hair and glasses. The teacher that reported it had gone to the bathroom and the teacher that did it was left alone in the room with my son. I know all of them by name mostly. I showed him a picture of every teacher there and he told me exactly who it was. The teachers even said directly to me. That his story has never changed. Since then, I kept him home the following day so that way they could get a safety plan in place. I was told that that teacher would not be anywhere in the vicinity of my children as three of them go there and based on the the relationship I have had with them up until recently. I trusted them. I would walk in in the morning and if that teacher was in the baby room, which I have to walk down to put my kids backpacks in the hallway. The other teachers would then “warn” her that I was there. I then brought it again to the pastor‘s attention. And was told that she would handle it. I came in one day a couple weeks ago, and they were on the same playground. I confronted them and I was met with rebuttal that I was being ridiculous and that this teacher doesn’t have a past history of anything. I then was given an attitude from the pre-K teacher that my son was getting ready to be transitioned over to. He was so excited to start until recently. Then, oddly, I had to pick him up four times within a week and a half recently because of his “behavioral issues”. I’ve asked the advice of others if I was being crazy, but it felt as though they were trying to justify why this teacher did what she did. I’m not trying to paint my four-year-old as a saint, but he is also a four-year-old rambunctious boy. With every confrontation, I have had with them over the last couple weeks. I have gotten a different story. I then have DHS in my home because of the incident which is standard procedure. I did call the police the day after it happened and then it is ongoing investigation. The very last straw that happened tonight was I was told that the teacher completely denied all of it. That she has no idea what happened. And also how all the interviews that they conducted at the school were conflicting. So I’m pretty sure they either lied for her or are trying to get this swept under the rug. And if you’re one of those because I’m pretty sure you know who you are, you should be ashamed of yourself. Especially when my son has been there since he was eight weeks old.

I have 3 children that attended DCA. My family has gone there since my oldest (11) was 6 weeks old. My review is based on 2023 to the present when they had a change in directors. At one point my son was sent home due to a diaper rash and made to get a doctors note in order to return. One particular day I got off early and just happened to pick up during nap time and my 2 year old son was watching YouTube videos on someone's phone. The director is down right rude and difficult to deal with. Once she took over it stope being a family friendly facility that would help with anything the could. In February 2024 a licensing agent came for a visit due to a parent complaint. 10 families received the phone call that our children were being let go and we had 5 days to find new care. This was due to the fact that the daycare was operating over capacity. Apparently they have been knowingly operating over capacity for years. The decision was made to let all Maryland families go vs families that had been with them long term. The director had the office manager call all the families instead of reaching out herself. She never uttered a word to me during this whole scenario. Ultimately families paid the price for the directors mistakes. We always stayed with them because they are the most affordable in the area. We learned a hard lesson in this situation. Sometimes cheap isn't best especially when it comes to your little ones care.

If zero stars were possible, that would be my rating. This particular review is reflective of approximately Spring 2023 and forward. The director is under qualified in her abilities to perform leadership duties, as well as liaison with parents in a respectful and professional manner. Furthermore, the staff is low quality, and minimally qualified at best. They do not care about the children in their care each day; often showing this negligence by use of cellphones in the class room, improper tone when addressing behavioral issues with individual students and class as a whole, amongst many other personally observed violations of licensure while my child was in their care. I have been improperly billed many times, and all times had to reach out to identify and rectify the issues. While locations are limited, and the cost is hard to match; this is a classic example of you get what you pay for. Hard lesson learned personally, but as a clear warning to all researching this center for their child’s care, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Your child’s quality of care is not something to negate based on limited options and affordability.

Worse place to send a special needs child They definitely lack on experience here. Lots of favoritism at this school.
