Decatur Family Ymca

I haven't been here for awhile due to health issues so I felt very fortunate to visit and take these photos. I used the gym with no issues, actually they were very helpful showing me around. Absolute 5 Star review for this place, feel free to come yourself or bring the whole family.

We visited this YMCA for a swim meet. It had lots of parking and is right across from a hospital. The building was well kept with lots of things to do. They had a nice snack area, pool viewing area, and several restrooms. The employees did a good job of keeping the trash picked up and empty. The front desk was friendly and scanned everyone's ID to enter for safety. They offer racketball, walking track, pool, basketball, weight room, and lots more!

The YMCA in Decatur has wonderful facilities, staff, and equipment for your fitness needs. This gym is accessible, friendly, and clean.

I was really excited to sign my young son up for swim lessons. We paid $160+ for these lessons. We got there the first night and the trainer had no interest in getting him acclimated or comfortable to the water. He was signed up for the level one course. They were immediately in water that would be over his head and did not seem interested in working with him. We left as he was crying. We were told we would be refunded for the lessons but the experience was poor and unwelcoming. Think twice before signing up for swim lessons.

My daughter just completed her first 6 weeks of swim her with Casey. When she first started, she was afraid to get her face wet, didn’t trust anyone near her and would only play along the perimeter do the pool. She now is very confident, able to swim the length of the pool without help and has kk issues or problems while in the pool. She even decided to have a swim party for her 8th birthday!! The cost was minimal and the staff was very accommodating in helping us find the best time that work with our schedule.
