Daylight Daycare

Update: My last daughter graduated from the Daylight Learning Center pre-k program this May. The community created by the director and staff is beyond words. For my daughter’s last day, she was serenaded by her peers to a special, Daylight variation of Boys II Men’s “It’s so Hard to Say Goodbye.” We left in tears of joy and gratitude knowing we are on to our next adventure in elementary school. I am grateful for the love and support that my daughters and my entire family have felt at Daylight. Your child will be in the best of hands. My daughters have attended Daylight Learning Center for over a year now, and we have only the highest regard for the work that all teachers and staff perform each and every day. I have children in the infant room as well as the preschool room, and the teachers are amazing. My infant daughter’s vocabulary and fine motor skills are evolving rapidly each week. She went from hi, buh-bye, and bubbles to colors and animal sounds over two weeks. The curriculum allows for her to experience learning through multiple modalities including play, story time, and arts and crafts. As for my preschool daughter, she is already preparing to be a teacher herself. She comes home and re-enacts circle time each day where she leads us through songs, phonics, and book talks. More importantly, the center has taken measures to ensure that our children are safe and healthy during these uncertain times. They have implemented the use of masks and face shields for age-appropriate groups as well as all staff. Extra cleaning is taking place when I arrive in the morning as well as when I pick up my girls 2-3 hours prior to closing. I know that they’re taking all necessary precautions which puts my mind at ease. Trust me when I say that you will not find more dedicated, hardworking, fun-loving staff at another daycare in the area.

I can say I felt at ease the first time I stepped in the daycare for my tour. Being a new mom and searching for a daycare before going back to work was a hard time and challenging for me. From the first day I dropped my daughter off at 6 weeks and even now at two years old I am happy that I chose Daylight Daycare. My daughter is learning so much daily and every week I'm amazed at her progress. She loves going here. I love the staff and how friendly and helpful they are. They have helped me out when I needed a pep talk. Big thank you to the staff and a special thank you to Mrs Lanya the director. I highly recommend Daylight Daycare.

Being first time parents and choosing an early education and child care provider for our son was extremely difficult for us. Especially after the horrible experience we encountered with a previous in home daycare owner. We work long days with demanding careers and we wanted to be sure this time around. Our son's safety and development is extremely important and we wanted to find a place that met all of our needs. After days of research and visits to different daycare facilities, I found Daylight. The director, Mrs. Lanye answered all of my questions and gave me a tour. The facility was clean, colorful and safe. The curriculum exceeded my expectations and I love that they encourage the children to be independent. My son loves being here and he learns s much. He enjoys his teachers Mrs. Dee and Ms. Monique, they really have a love for teaching. The entire staff makes you feel like family. My family and I are happy here and so grateful to have such amazing people vested in the safety and education of our son.

I was a first time parent I didn’t know how daycare worked but daylight has made me feel great regarding childcare! My child loves his teachers n the director. Everyone is so loving and always have a great smile.It’s a learning environment it’s not just play all day they teach your children many things they follow themes and it’s very fun to see all the projects they do and how much they learn. It’s a very clean center and well sanitize. I wouldn’t want to take my child anywhere else. If your looking for a daycare we’re you want your children to feel safe and loved this is an amazing place for child care.

Daylight was a great place for my two kids ages 2 and 4 years old (boy & girl). The bilingual staff is very attentive and caring. The caretakers/teachers helped the children learn their counting, letters, fun songs, and some Spanish. I felt confident having my children here because most (if not all) of the employees here have kids of their own and can relate to the parents. You can easily tell that many of the children bonded with the teachers and felt safe and happy here. I also noticed it always smelled clean in the Daycare which is a plus (not smelling like diapers). Mrs. Lanya is very attentive and approachable. I was able to have an open line of communication with her and members of her team. They schedule picture days which is very nice and they throw little parties for the kids on each of their birthdays. My kids would still be enrolled if we hadn't moved and didn't have to pay out of pocket for the cost. If you can afford to put your kids in daycare, Daylight is really a great place to enroll them. If you're paying privately, it's one of the few daycares that offer full-day programs, 5 days a week, at the lowest possible cost in comparison to other daycares in the area. For us, it was worth it - great staff and our kids were happy and safe!
