Dacula Academy

My daughter has been going here for the last three years and I can say that I am more then happy my wife chose Dacula Academy. The staff is friendly and greets every one. The owners know the parents along with the children. Any issues with my daughter they called immediately and notified me upon arrival. My daughter has built bonds with each teacher she has had and loves going to school. My second child will also be attending here as well without and second doubt.

Not to sure what happened to my original post but I have no problem posting again. I must admit I'm not sure what happened to this daycare because I had two other kids attend this daycare and we had a wonderful experience . Somewhere the focus changed from the children to only caring about the money. This place acts more like a bank that excepts children from the hours of 6AM to 6PM. The facility is nasty and the mats in the classrooms are disgusting. My child stayed sick from the time I enrolled him until the time we left this place. My son was extremely sick and was in the hospital for 3 days. I kept him out of the daycare for 3 weeks. Hoping he would have a complete recovery. The daycare called on week 3 not to check on my child but to tell me I had a balance. At this point, I had to advise the lady he was sick and we would be back after the break. At no point did she say, well we need to take care of the balance now. Nope, instead the owners sues me for $200.00 and added $105.00 for court fees. How backwards is this behavior. $ I paid $660.00 a month and you sue me for $200.00....Really. Back to my original statement ; "This place is a dirty bank not a childcare facility". Hopefully they took some of that $305.00 and replaced those filthy mats that they have those children playing, sitting and sleeping on. BTW-.Jana no need for a phone call. I called you back the last time and you never returned my call. I'm completely good. Just thought I would warn other parents.

This daycare is one of the most amazing things to happen to my family and children. Both of my children attended daycare then pre-k and then after school care and summer camp here for over 10 years. My youngest child even potty trained at the center. The owners Tim and Jana are amazing, they truly care about the children. They have always reached out to me with any concerns and given me advice when needed. If I ever had a concern or problem (or my children have had any issues) they were always taken seriously and delt with. My children have now aged out of the facility and it has been so sad to leave. We love these people like family, they have helped raise my children for the last 10 years. My children adore them and the facility. When your children are spending such a large portion of their day without you, you want to make sure they are in a safe environment that they love. Dacula Academy was the right choice for us.

This daycare and Toddler Room teachers DO NOT PAY ANY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU TELL THEM! My poor daughter has come home several times with diaper rashes due to not being changed as often as she should be. I told them NOT to feed her certain things and I get a report saying she’s eaten the foods I’ve requested them NOT to give her! Needless to say she is OUT of that daycare and starting a new one. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS DAYCARE TO ANYONE! It’s only CHEAP BUT THERE IS NO QUALITY!

I thought that this was the place I would feel safest for my daughter, considering my son attended here years ago and loved it. A lot like the other recent reviews, this place is on a down hill spiral. I withdrew my child two weeks ago, when I discovered some disturbing news. My child had moved up a class, and was only in the new room for one week, I started noticing some behavioral changes, she cried her eyes out every morning begging me not to leave her. My gut told me something was up. Sure enough my daughter came to me telling me the teacher pinched her and hurt her. I went for review of the tapes saw enough to know this teacher was harmfully grabbing my child as well as others. I withdrew my daughter the same day. I also signed a statement saying I would no longer pay for tuition at this school. Considering this was a Monday, and I had already paid for her time there. I then receive a letter from the owner stating I owe 450.00 and that if I do not pay it, I am being taken to magistrate court. There was never any concern for my child from them, only a brush under the rug as if I was over reacting. It was also stated and proven from BRIGHT FROM THE START (Its like dfacs for daycares) That they are being cited because they conducted an investigation after what happened to my child and indeed confirmed it was happening to multiple children!! I am furious and fed up. These people only care about your money, not your child. The woman who was being physically harmful to the children was still working there after the accusations originally started! I want other parents to be aware, this place is a joke. Not once has anyone attempted to make things right after what happened to my child, and I am sure the other children. But yet a letter threatening me with court if I don't pay for money that isn't even owed. They should be shut down. I have since enrolled my daughter else where and she is a totally different child, happy, and I no longer have to worry about who is hurting her or mistreating her. WARNING PARENTS STEER CLEAR of Dacula Academy.
