went for the collab highschool art day and it was AWESOME!! gunna totally apply here for my Art BFA. the professors were extremely nice even when I was just visiting rooms with my friend, and were very respectful when I tried paying with cash despite it being card only. The drink from the art building was really good too! another thing i love: ELEVATORS!!! I am very unfit and have a sevre breathing condition so stairs are hard for me, but the people guiding the tour were just "yeah go ahead and use them!" no payment or special card needed! the 2 classes we took were also awesome! I genuinely learnt stuff! and the food hall? MY GOD ITS HUGE!! this place felt like freaking disney land to a small town dessert girl like me, highly recommend! (but maybe bring a bike/scooter)
Best College in Eastern WA for diversity and inclusion. There are numerous mini-food banks on campus, as well as places to study in almost all buildings. The SURC is definitely the highlight of available resources that all students should take advantage of! And don't forget the Brooks library for books and tech rentals!
The best public University in Washington States. It beautiful, kindness people that want to help us college students.
Loved going to classes and cwu gave me a lot of skills most in my job do not have. Computer technologies/software, professional writing, . It has given me a large competitive edge. Downside I had, was that most students lacked any interest in building community with each other. "I don't need friends" attitude. I do hope anyone coming in finds their people. I also worked on campus as conference services. All the custodians were very nice to students and student staff.
I like the people there. I made some great new friends. I didn’t like how in between Winter and Spring break there is only like 6 school days off. Slightly over a week off. I think we need a good three weeks off or two weeks off at very least. Breaks fly way too fast. Also, I don’t understand why they charge double tuition in the summer. A lot of kids like to take the summer off and not take any classes. Is it because they have to make up lost revenues from people who don’t take classes so the school stays in business. Also, why do they only give a week between spring and summer classes? I will give credit to the school for having fun events like planetarium shows, movie nights, they had a laser tag event.
