Cub Early Learning Academy (Camp Washington)

Absolutely love this place. I'm so grateful I was able to get my daughter in. I think because I enrolled her at the end summer that's what made the difference.. Its pretty small and I guess because of funding there is only 1 classroom that's full day for head start. I really wish places like these would get the funding the deserve and need because this is where our children start out ! CUB is setting the foundation for our children's education.

This is an amazing program. It serves children of African and Central American immigrants as well as "typical" Caucasian and African American students. It becomes the peaceable kingdom, with everyone learning and playing together. Especially for children who don't hear English at home, this preschool program is a lifeline to their future. After two years, the children are speaking and understanding English as well as knowing their numbers, colors, etc. The only downside is the waiting list. Many parents have discovered what a fantastic program they offer!

I barely write reviews but when i do i like to be honest. camp Washington is a very good school and i would highly recommend this school to anyone. They are a very diverse school which is a plus ( both student and staff).They take pride in what they do and the teachers and staff are professionally trained in their fields. The only suggestion is they need to change their current principal or provide additional communication training for him (which would be HIGHLY recommended). He speaks in a very condescending way and constantly talks over you with out letting you as a parent speak. I believe if your a principal your thier to lead by example . If anything goes wrong the principal should be the one we can contact. How is that going to be possible if the principal is not trained on communication skills? As a customer service Representative for over 6years and also worked in childcare / elementary school prior i would not even speak to an escalated parent or customer in that manner. As i mentioned it is a good school and the teachers are amazing unfortunately my last child wont be attending due to the way the principal talks over me and constantly cut's me of before i can say anything . I decided to just be silent and couldn't wait to just leave the enrollment meeting i had today. CAA does have other school's one school CAA has that i would highly recommend Theodore berry they have a long waiting list but its worth the wait.

It is a very good place to take you child. I have taken both of my children to the Head Start school and I am proud of their quality

Love this school my son is counting very well now and he tells me how much he likes his teacher and friends everyday.
