What Parents Say
The reviews provided do not evaluate the daycare program itself, but rather describe the Wyckoff Projects residential community in Brooklyn. Reviewers generally praise the neighborhood as safe, quiet, and having a strong community atmosphere. One resident mentioned concerns about building maintenance issues like elevator repairs and lobby odors.
I like this place but the only concerns I have Is the smell and the elevators since the lobby sometimes stinks and the elevators been broken a lot recently in my building. But overall it is a clean environment with a peaceful area, and I appreciate the workers cleaning the halls every week or 2
This is one of NYCHA developments. I was visiting a friend overnight. When I entered the buildings there was the smell of urine in the lobby and the floor looked dirty. But my friend's apartment seemed well maintained, no mold, no cracks on the walls or ceilings, the appliances looked like new ( I was told that they had just been replaced ). Although the floors looked as if they could be replaced, but the apartment looked a regular apartment. Unfortunately on my departure there was a leakon the floor , that was coming from the light fixtures that was located in the middle of the lobby. Electricity & water aren't a his combination.
Its been a LONG time since I lived at the projects. We lived at 9B from Nov 9th 1966 till about 1975! The projects were BRAND NEW!!! We were the 9th family to move in to the complex. Man Did I like the view. You could see The Empire State Building and just about all of Manhattan, WOW! This was a fun time for all the kids including myself at age 9. None of the grounds were in. Lots and Lots Of Nothing but Dirt!!! No Trees were in, NOTHING!!! It was BAD TO THE BONES!!!!Man I loved growing up. We lived at Gowanus Projects since 1949 after it was finish. We were the FIRST to move into moving into 241 Hoyt St Apt 1A. NO Sidewalks was and Wyckoff JUST was as bad!!! MAN did we IT!!! Go Back to Wyckoff Projects. It was a nice place when we were there. After reading the POST i WAS SICK TO MY STOMACH HOW THE BUILDINGS HAVE GOT!!! ITS SAD!!!
These guys need to get moving on the repairs. There is job security in getting the work done. If you send a plumber to do the carpenters job, get the carpenter there the same day not 3month later
Amazing neighborhood. My boyfriend lives there and i never feel any danger going to his house. Plus his neighbors are cute.
