What Parents Say
Crystal Stairs Inc. - Kiddie Kastle receives mostly positive reviews praising the Head Start program, staff dedication, and support for underserved communities in South Los Angeles. However, several parents report poor customer service experiences with front desk staff displaying unprofessional attitudes and unhelpful phone interactions. One parent also disputed allegations made by site management regarding a pickup incident.
The women in the front have really bad attitudes. If you’re not in the mood to be at work call off or speak to your supervisor and let them know you’re not feeling well enough to deal with the public, but don’t bring your attitude to work. Next time I go in I expect a new team sitting in the front or a better attitude from the ones there. Management needs to do their job and take action on this issue and do a class on customer service, because I’m sure attitude wasn’t a part of the criteria during the hiring or interviewing process.
I am not sure who answers the phones , but the customer service is horrible. I am not too sure why people who are having a rough day answer these phones ? When told I couldn’t receive the program I proceeded to ask what’s an alternative? And got zero help or assistance very careless. When hanging up I said okay then you for your help and just got hung up on no bye your welcome nothing. The attitudes here is probably why there’s no funding … hire people who are enthusiastic and helpful please ..
I would first like to start my message by making it clear that I am truly grateful for you all being an addition in my child’s growth and development. It was great to see how much she and all the other students were cared for. While the above sentiment is true, it was brought to my attention yesterday that some details regarding Friday’s incident were not true. 1. I never used foul language towards anyone at the facility. Unfortunately you never got to know me, so you don’t know, but I don’t use profanity in front children nor would I ever in an educational environment. There’s so many factors that makes this claim untrue. The point is, I did not cuss at any of the staff on this day. 2. I did not raise my voice or yell at anyone. I am happy to go over the interaction for whoever would like to hear it again using the same mannerisms and dialect that were used on Friday. I admit, as I did yesterday, I got smart first and then there was a petty back and forth argument between Mrs. Kendra , the site supervisor, and I. However, none of us raised our voices. 3. I was informed that the site supervisor was unreachable before I travelled all the way to my daughter’s school to pick her up while her aunt was already there. However, she was very much so present. Perhaps the situation was frustrating for all involved, however, that is no reason to lie. Growing as an educator means that you have integrity and morals. Also, it is important to not put every parent in a bubble and categorize them to fit your agenda. I did not behave in a ghetto or belligerent manner, such as what was falsely described because those actions do not resonate with my character. It was important for me to clear my name. Also, I do apologize for allowing my frustration to activate the back and forth interaction. I am aware of what I believe I should’ve done differently. Have a good one, Alyssa Brooks
Very decent office building & plaza in Los Angeles, I love the views & the front desk employers are helpful with any questions on the forms.
I am highly disappointed in Crystal Stairs. As a provider I expect to be notified when the services will be terminated, the worker over my case was very rude and argumentative. She claim to have sent out the letter of termination but neither the parent or provider received it. Her only advice was to check with the post office and I explained to her so I been receiving all my check stubs but the termination letter to the parent and provider was not received. This worker did not let the parent know beforehand that she needed to apply to stage 2, and even her boss said that she was supposed to let the parent know before the case was terminated. This is my primary job and its very sad and unfortunate that you guys do not care about the providers livelihood.
