I've never attended this church, but I will say I am very displeased with the sense of community that I am seeing from this church. About a month ago, they began turning flood lights on at 10pm exactly every night. The lights face my home as well as the homes of other displeased neighbors. The lights make it hard for my children to sleep. We've even purchased black out curtains and still, the lights are so bright they tend to seep into the rooms. I have complained and I have even brought it to the attention of my HOA which has complained on my behalf. The day my HOA called me to notify me that they had contacted this church, the church added an additional 3 flood lights. Now it is even brighter at night. I don't care what your beliefs are, what you participate in or what you practice, but the fact that this church decided to retaliate on a very reasonable request as opposed to communicating in an open discussion to perhaps compromise or negotiate a path forward speaks volumes of the people who are in charge of this facility. I would never attend this church and I would strongly urge others to consider their options prior to deciding to attend this church. I am very open to having a discussion. ********************************************** *Update* It took about 2 years, but a young gentleman knocked on my door recently and explained he was the new pastor to this church. He mentioned he would ensure the lights were off because the community's thoughts were important to him. As he promised, the lights have been off for about a month now. Blessed by this church and all the members. They are hospitable and very loving.
First time in my life, I look forward to going to church. Everyone there is so welcoming and friendly. The scripture lessons are more like conversations that speak to you about the word of god you don't feel preached to or scolded, you feel lifted up.
Leaves bright lights to church on all night long. Not very considerate of thy neighbor. What would Jesus do? Update 6/1/2025: Church still leaves lights on all night long. Tonight there was an aurora (northern lights) visible, however the lights are SO bright that they obscured any viewing of this phenomenon. Still not considerate of thy neighbors. 0 stars. Update: 12/5/2025 The new pastor personally came to our home to let us know they will be turning off the lights every night. I’m extremely grateful for him doing this personally. It truly means a lot and shows the grace and thoughtfulness of the new pastor. Community is an important aspect of life, and the new pastor has shown that community is important to him. This is a place for young, old and in-between. The worship band in the contemporary service is awesome! The sermons are very good too; but what sticks with me is the loving people that take a genuine interest in you as an individual. Great church to be a member of.
