Took my child here due to convenience. Big mistake. In short, I don’t think the primary teacher ever established any trust with my child. Other teachers were nice but seem overworked and inexperienced. My child would express that they liked certain teachers by name, but we were never able to get a positive response from her about the primary teacher and another head administrator/teacher. My child gets along with/seems to love everyone, so this is strange. On several occasions, very distraught children were screaming that they “hate it here” as their parents tried dropping them off. I see why. It was often very chaotic when I would pick up my child. And my child was at the age where they were still learning to regulate emotions and, like children do, they learned some bad habits from other children there. It was nothing out of the norm (which medical professionals agreed with) but the head teacher/admin literally implied to my wife and I on several occasion that our child was a sociopath. It was a very traumatizing experience. My child has thrived ever since leaving. Lastly, there were a lot of other red flags at this place I should have considered more. For example one of these teachers cut my child’s hair without telling us. My child was young and had never had a haircut before (which mom was looking forward to). It was really upsetting. Also, cleanliness is a big concern.
This place needs to be checked out by whoever is in charge of this Day Care, it is not clean, toddlers are playing with sand, which can go in their eyes or mouth, toy's are not kept clean, baby section is very dirty, food on the floor and who know's what else, saw a 1 yr old in a low high chair left alone in the room with a sip cup, not one adult to be found in the room with him. I think with the money these daycare's charge they should all get 5 stars, this one used to be nice a few years back now it seems as though they aren't taking care of it. The staff seems nice but the grounds are not where I'm leaving my child.
