What Parents Say
Crestwood Oakes is highly praised by parents for its old-school, structured approach and extensive outdoor facilities including a pool, tennis court, and natural property. Parents consistently highlight caring staff, strong academics, character development, and diverse activities like swimming, horseback riding, and canoeing. The facility is particularly recommended for children with special needs and families seeking a nature-based, hands-on learning environment.
My kids went to Cretwood Oakes for 4 years. They are ‘old school’ which we appreciated. Firm yet understanding/patient. My kids are on the spectrum, and having a very structured place to go did wonders for them. Also, the swimming lessons were great.
My girls have been attending Crestwood Oakes for over three years. We have referred many of our friends here as well. The teachers are wonderful, caring women that my daughters absolutely adore. Crestwood provides lot of outdoor recreation time, allowing kids to develop and improve social and motor skills. Both of my girls have learned to swim from their summer camp. Manners and pro-social behaviors are strictly enforced. The communication from teachers is top notch. I always feel well informed about what is going on at school.
My 2 boys went to Crestwood childcare and to summer camps once they started school. They also used to take swimming lessons and are still taking tennis lessons. We love the teachers at Crestwood and the whole property is amazing. Lots of outdoors space and activities which is so important these days when kids like to spend lot of time playing video games instead of playing outside. Highly recommend Crestwood Oakes!!!
I went to Crestwood Oakes from ages 2 to 14, and it was a wonderful experience, and a great opportunity that most don't get to have. The staff are an amazing group of people that helped raise me, teach me the difference between right and wrong, and always made me feel welcome. When I was young, they offered basic pre-school learning, such as the ABCs and the pledge of allegiance. With parental permission, they would take us on field trips. We would do arts and crafts, pay board games and read books, but would still have nap time for those under 5. We also got to take swim lessons from a young age and when we were older they offered tennis lessons, canoe lessons and horseback riding lessons. They have a large property with both trails and fields to play games such as capture the flag, tag, kickball, and other games. I'm in my 20s now, and I still enjoy going back to visit and catching up with them. If I am still living in the area, I will definitely send my children there when they're old enough.
I have 3 kids and they each have VERY different personalities. I have used La Petite (NEVER AGAIN), Kindercare (good experience but not all are the same), Kids Villa (great family that owns it and experience was ok). I moved my children to Crestwood as soon as they were old enough. I trust my kids with these people and they get kids. Their approach is old school. They teach kids not to waste and how to show manners. They try to teach good eating habits and don't allow a lot of junk in lunches. Parents have to pack a lunch no food plan is offered. I am very lucky to live near such a wonderful daycare and summer camp program. Truly good people and safe environment. I have no fears/reservations when my kids are here.
