Crescenta-Canada Nursery School

CCNS will always hold a special place in my heart. Our family spent four years here, and it truly shaped who I am as a parent. Being part of a co-op taught me so much—how to slow down, be more present, better understand my children, and build real relationships with other families. It’s where I started to find my village. The teachers are warm, patient, and deeply attuned to the kids, and the director is one of the most thoughtful, supportive leaders I’ve ever worked with. She held our entire community with so much grace. My children were genuinely loved here, and even now, they still tell stories, ask to visit, and talk about their teachers and friends from preschool. CCNS gave them a solid foundation and both kids have gone on to thrive in elementary school. We made lifelong friendships at CCNS. It’s a place where parents show up for each other, where kids feel safe and known, and where the community gets stronger every year. We’re so lucky this little school exists, and I’m forever grateful for everything it gave our family.

It’s difficult to adequately express in words the magic of this preschool. Our family moved to LA from overseas & we were looking for a place where our eldest daughter could socialise and make friends. What we found was a community for our whole family. This was our first co-op experience & it has been rewarding beyond measure. When we walk through the doors each morning, every adult & child knows your name & greets you with genuine warmth & care. Being involved in our children’s early education has been such rewarding experience & one which we are so grateful for. The school is lead by the director, Mrs Michelle, who continues to pour endless thought, care & love into every day, every activity & every interaction with each child. She is in tune with each child’s needs & is genuinely invested in the development of each child. She creates magic around every holiday that will form our children’s core early memories. This is our third year at CCNS & we feel so lucky to be a part of this community. The school itself is clean, well maintained & our children particularly love the variety of play based activities, physical activities, arts & crafts as well as developmentally appropriate educational activities. Thank you CCNS for the wonderful care you have taken of our children!

This preschool felt like a home away from home for our family for four years. CCNS helped us get through tough times including Covid and separation anxiety; all with kindness and nurturing our kids development as a constant. Both of our children loved the teachers, art projects, songs, crafts, lessons, and the overall emphasis on play and cooperation. Thank you CCNS for being such a wonderful part of our awesome community.

A truly wonderful school. The teachers, lead by an incredible director are passionate, caring and inspiring. The community of family’s that attend are equally amazing. A beautiful first school environment for every child.

CCNS has provided my family with such a warm and nurturing environment for the past two years. I specifically chose a co-op preschool because I wanted to be a part of my child's first educational experience, and I'm so glad I was able to help out in the classroom that first year. During the pandemic, the school closed temporarily but the Director and teachers worked extremely hard to create an amazing virtual learning program that helped kids continue to learn and feel connected to their class (and helped parents stay sane) during the Stay at Home orders. CCNS eventually reopened and I felt completely comfortable with the school's stringent health and safety protocols, and I knew my child was in great hands. The teachers are so wonderful and the parents are very involved as well - it really feels like a family. It's been such a delight to watch my kid bloom in so many ways, thanks to CCNS. I'm genuinely sad that our time is coming to an end, but we will be back! Thank you, CCNS!
