My son had an excellent experience at Creative World Blue Springs. The team and teachers were kind and dealt with our issues and questions professionally. The building is clean, and they have a lovely exploratorium that the kids enjoy. Above all, my son liked to go each day and made a nice group of friends. He was always safe and well cared for, which gave me peace of mind. I highly recommend it.

I’d give zero stars if possible. My kids absolutely hated it here. My oldest son came home two days in a row telling me a teacher was kissing him. My youngest, who is one, has scratches on his lower back and I never received an incident report. We went for one full week and that’s all it took to realize what a train wreck this place is. I never received documentation that would be expected. They kept hounding me about all kinds of random things for their licensing but didn’t even provide a parent handbook or tell me what the expected tuition would be. First day at pick up I still hadn’t received a door code and the front desk lady was so rude when I tried to explain to her I hadn’t received a code yet. Leslie (the director) is just as bad. On day one at drop off she basically told me I wasn’t going to get any updates on my kids through the app since she hadn’t set it up. Her words were “by the end of the week” I’d receive updates. I stood there until she sent the link for me to be in the app. It took her all of 1 entire minute but she had an attitude the entire time. Not that it really mattered because I only received anything on my oldest (who’s 3) twice. No bathroom breaks, naps and no meals. I had no idea what was going on there all day but at drop off it would get increasingly difficult with how my boys were acting. They didn’t want to go. I knew in my gut something wasn’t right. When I picked them up on Friday I told the front desk lady we wouldn’t be returning. She basically stated that I owed them money. For what? And I have no paperwork to prove I do, I paid for the week my kids attended and that’s all I am going to pay. Such an absolute mess. Save yourself the headache. Don’t trust this place with your kids.

We recently moved to Lee's Summit and were looking for a school where my daughter could continue her Pre-K program. We were hoping for a nurturing environment where she could grow, learn, and adapt to new routines. Before enrolling, I made it clear that she’s a picky eater, and unfortunately, this seems to have become one of the issues. I don’t fully understand why this was a problem, but one reason she might have been acting out could be the pressure to eat when she clearly didn’t want to. Instead of offering support, the school seemed more focused on calling her out for her behavior, which felt unfair and unhelpful. Initially, everything seemed fine, but after two weeks, I started receiving calls from Lesley asking me to pick up my child because she wasn’t following the class rules. Lesley also mentioned my daughter was exhibiting "terrifying and uncontrollable behaviors" that could negatively influence other children, which didn’t match my daughter’s usual behavior at all. Another thing she was called out for was taking off her shoes during nap time, which was apparently against the rules. While I understand the importance of following rules, this seemed like an issue that didn’t need to be treated as a major problem, especially since it didn’t seem like anything disruptive or harmful. It also became clear that when my daughter wasn’t given the attention she needed or felt out of place, she would say "No" to Lesley or the class teacher when asked to do something. As a 4-year-old, this is a natural response, yet they chose to label her as "defiant" and wrote incident reports for behaviors that seemed typical of a child adjusting to a new environment. Instead of trying to understand or help her adapt, they focused on labeling her behavior negatively, which felt unfair and disproportionate to the situation. I became concerned because I expected a school to provide a supportive, safe, and understanding environment where children are guided through transitions, especially at such a young age. Rather than focusing on nurturing and helping my daughter adjust to the new environment, the school seemed more focused on disciplining her for behaviors that appeared to be a natural response to a change in routine, environment, and faces. It felt like she was being unfairly treated, and I started to question if there was an element of discrimination. In her previous school, my daughter was excited to go every day. She felt loved by her teachers and friends, came home eager to share what she learned—especially in science—and even had homework to show me. At CWS, however, she didn’t come home with that same enthusiasm, nor did she mention any classmates or friends. The only person she ever talked about was Ms. Emma. It’s disheartening to hear my 4-year-old say she doesn’t want to go to school anymore, especially when she had always looked forward to it in the past. The constant calls about her behavior, the issues with her eating, and the seemingly minor things, like taking off her shoes or saying "No" when she didn’t feel comfortable, left me deeply disappointed in the way this school handled the situation. I had hoped for a more nurturing and adaptable environment for my child, but it was clear that was not the case.

My daughter is valued and important. Miss Jessica greets her everyday with a smile, positive attitude and welcoming hug. Leslie and the ladies in the reception area always welcome us and tell us to have a good day. Leslie didn't turn us away after a difficult custody issue and has been understanding and respectful. My daughter surprises me everyday with the knowledge she obtains. She is almost 4 and in a few short weeks she has learned so much. She looks forward to going to school and gives us no issues in the morning! I love hearing about the fun activities she does each day. It is shocking that other local places charge way more for their programs and offer so much less. Creative World is reasonably priced and we get above and beyond what we were looking for.

My child has been with this center for a year now and I am so happy I made the change. His first few weeks he was already learning so much more compared to the previous daycares, he is actually excited to come to “school” everyday! They have structure within each class, a curriculum they follow, the place is always clean, the staff is always super friendly and smiling. Veronica and Lesley are very professional and easy to talk to. If you have a concern they are sure to address it promptly. They truly look out for the children’s best interest and well being.
