What Parents Say
This facility receives universal praise for its extensive amenities and cleanliness. Parents highlight the new building as a significant upgrade with excellent recreational facilities, friendly and professional staff, and well-maintained spaces.
Crazy unbelievable and the staff is SO friendly and helpful!!! They have TWO ice rings. Several soccer fields... indoor walking path... so much. Amazing!!
While the facility beautiful and the hockey is good, the practice and public ice experience is genuinely an unpleasant experience. The so- called “ice monitor” on the weekends for practice ice is constantly on a power trip. She makes the experience so unpleasant many people, including Evanston residents choose to skate other places because of her abhorrent manner. She will bully single moms and whoever rubs her the wrong way that day. The facility also has a lot of inflexible rules and policies. Additionally the ice guard Ron, makes open skate an unpleasant experience. He is constantly hassling people about the “rules” and making up rules as he goes along . While safety is important, constantly harassing patrons about safety is counterproductive. It’s disappointing that such a beautiful facility has such bad customer service. Please do better Evanston.
Public library, walking track, basketball courts and ice rink all in one place. Plus they offer after school programs and various classes for adults. I appreciate the cleanliness and friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Ohh forgot to mention the outdoor soccer field. This place is great
The place itself is amazing. But the lady at the front desk wasn’t interested in helping me out and answering some questions I had. I didn’t feel welcomed at all due to her attitude. I wish I remembered her name. It was my first time there.
Had a good experience having a hockey game there, it felt like entering a professional arena with that entrance😀 the Ice was nice and what I thought was cool was that the boards for the benches are see through! So that means you can see there water bottles. An also thing that’s cool is that behind oh of the goals is a glass wall so people can also watch the game in the lobby! The only reason why I put 4 stars was because kids were biking in the sidewalk and one of them hit my 3 year old sister!😕 I yelled at him and pushed him. Other than that the place looked like an airport mixed with a library, which isnt a band thing!
