What Parents Say
Creative Minds Learning Academy has highly polarized reviews. While a small number of parents praise the staff's kindness, cleanliness, and curriculum, the majority report serious concerns including staff rudeness, alleged physical abuse, inadequate facilities, poor hygiene, discriminatory treatment, and documented state violations.
The only good thing about this place is the newer staff for the school-aged kids—my boys say they’re much kinder than the older teachers, who were often rude. Everything else has been a disappointment. Management is rude, policies are rigid, and it’s all about money, not the kids. For the highest rates I’ve ever paid, there are no special activities, no water days, and not even age-appropriate playgrounds. They charge for everything, and it’s no surprise they’re the only daycare in town with open spots. I wish I had read reviews before wasting a summer here.
this daycare i had two children attend . the first time my daughter was at the chambersburg center i picked her up from creative minds with a giant adult hand print on her underarm . i immediately took her to the doctors and the doctors CONFIRMED IT WAS AN ADULT HAND PRINT . This daycare also likes to tell you at the last minute that one of their centers closed and you have two weeks to either find a new center or transfer to creative minds second center but if you chose to transfer them out , they stole your money from you and refused to give it back even though it was their choice to close the center . i’ve walked in at pick up time and i have encounted the staff SCREAMING at the kids . i’ve watched teachers snatch the children to sit them down. noses are always running and snotting and they won’t clean the child’s face up. this daycare if you search it under the pennsylvania state on the government pages will show you how many times this center has been in trouble for child neglect and ABUSE . WORST DAYCARE EVER . ms . DEB IS RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE AND SO IS NATHAN THE OWNER who never comes to even check on his centers . both creative mind centers should be permanently closed . it will only be a matter of time we’re reading something bad happened here at this center . save your kids and yourself the hassle .
I can never express how much this place sucks. My child (who LOVES school) cried every single morning going to creative minds. The administration care ONLY about money and how to do things as cheap as possible (including feeding the kids). The teachers have to buy their own supplies for the bum curriculum they use which is recycled every year and not developmentally appropriate in the least. SOME of their staff are amazing, most suck and talk trash about the children in their care. Just look up their violations on the state website before enrolling here and decide if it’s the type of place you want to send your child.
After a rather horrid experience with another local daycare, this facility is a breath of fresh air. Our child has been enrolled for nearly 2 years. The entire staff is incredibly kind and genuinely invested in my child. The facilities are clean, communication is transparent and timely, and the curriculum is rigorous. The prices are very reasonable (in fact, on par with other, sub-satisfactory places). We LOVE Creative Minds and will be sad when our child no longer needs their services.
They need to learn professionalism and character. At the hands of a Prejudice manager or supervisor, it's not fair to be handled in rudely and disrespectful manners. My daughters won't be returning, we'll find a better daycare one with love, and nurturing to our children.
