What Parents Say
Creative Beginnings receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, who praise the warm, nurturing environment and strong academic, social, and emotional development. However, one parent reported a negative experience involving rapid dismissal of their child after three days, citing concerns about the child's behavior and potential special needs without proper communication or documentation.
Before my grandson graduates from Creative Beginnings and starts kindergarten - and before his sister is old enough to begin coming - I want to say that I’ve never come across so happy a learning environment as a child/mother/grandma!! The time our boy has been there has not only been so happy - but the atmosphere created in the classroom between the children and the teachers and the other children is quite remarkable. The way the kids know the kids and teachers from the other groups is lovely. The way they’ve been taught to play together, to share and to tidy up (!! Even if not so much at home…) seems effortless. The actual learning that has happened has been great and pretty impressive. The celebration of each and every festival and occasion is notable. I just really wanted an opportunity to praise everything about this place!! From Hugo’s grandma!!
We sent two of our children to Creative Beginnings and have nothing but good things to say. They were excellent at helping to organize services for our older son and were helpful and understanding when it became clear that he required a special needs preschool. Our younger child felt loved and cared for here as well. It’s a warm, caring, fun, and extremely well-run environment that helps kids thrive academically, socially, and emotionally
I love that this is a house, the class rooms feel like living rooms. They have many playgrounds outside and the kids go out two or three times a day, weather depending. In the summer they play with water outside. My child loves it, our second one will go there, too. It was recommended by my neighbors who bring their second one there. One complaint is that they use disposable plastic ware for food and drinks. Sadly this is normal in this country and is usually difficult to fix due to lack of space, this is why I am understanding for their situation and do not subtract a star ;)
Terrible experience, my child was treated as if she had some disabilities and special needs and was pretty much kicked out after three days. My daughter went through feeding/speech therapy before joining daycare and I let Bernadette Stevenson the assistant director aware of that during the initial consultation and tour. She said that they understand and that is not uncommon for toddlers to have speech delays. Other than speech delay my child does not have any special needs or disabilities. First day at the daycare: upon arrival, my daughter saw the play area and got all excited. She pretty much did not pay attention to a teacher or the director when they greeted her. They both said "oh she is not making any eye contact" and looked at each other as if something was wrong with my child. I tried not to pay much attention to that comment and told them that she was looking at the play area and was too excited. She only stayed there for half day. I was told that she refused to eat their lunch, played with toys, and threw them around. She also tried to open a door but otherwise, the day went well. Day 2: she stayed the entire day and was behaving the same, which I think normal for any toddler that just started a new daycare Day 3: I got updates from the caregiver via an online app, that she is behaving well, that she ate their food, and was playing outside. So I was happy that my child started to adjust to a new environment. Right at pick-up time, the assistant director tells my husband that they can't care for our child anymore. That they can't accommodate her because they think she might have special needs and we would be better off with getting care from the school district. She said that my daughter doesn't make any eye contact which is completely untrue. That she doesn't follow their directions and throws toys around. We were shocked because all day they were reporting completely different things. Nevertheless, it was late Thursday and we both work full time so did not have any child care back up for the following day Friday. They did not bother to tell us anything earlier that day. Very disappointed with an attitude and treatment. Do not recommend, unless your child like a soldier follows strict directions, sits quietly in some corner and doesn't play with toys, and never throw them around
We have had multiple children in our family attend Creative Beginnings and have never had a negative experience. I highly recommend this facility and hope that they're still as terrific now as they were when our kids went!
