What Parents Say
Cradles to Crayons receives mixed reviews. Most parents praise the caring, attentive caregivers and positive experiences with their children's development and attachment to staff. However, several parents report significant concerns with management, administrative communication, and the facility's handling of behavioral and special needs situations.
Very disappointing experience. My 4-year-old had never had issues in school before, but after starting court-mandated visitations with his troubled father this summer, I asked Cradles to Crayons to document his behavior not only for ongoing court proceedings but to get the professional help he needs through this difficult time, they didn’t care and never did. I have 3 emails which are not admissible in court because there is not a full name or nothing specific. Instead of helping, they isolated him and repeatedly called me to pick him up. The staff is friendly but not trained as educators; it’s basically playtime. I quickly found another daycare after they expelled him that, with patience and proper guidance, is helping my son navigate his emotions successfully.
We had such a wonderful experience in our first year at Cradles to Crayons (pine st)! As first-time parents, it meant everything to know our daughter was in such a loving and attentive environment. A special shoutout to Bilma and Katty for the incredible care and kindness they showed every day. Every staff member we encountered was amazing. Maria in the office was always so helpful and kind. I often found myself turning to Bilma and the caregivers for parenting advice, as they saw my daughter every day, understood her so well, and their insight was always spot on. We always felt our daughter was safe, happy, and truly cared for. We're so grateful to have started our childcare journey here!
Both of my sons attend at Cradles HQ. My oldest is in the pre-K3 and my youngest is in the waddler room. They love their teachers they are so kind and caring they do fun activities and crafts. It’s a great place we love it !!
The teachers are friendly and extremely kind to my child. Dealing with the administrative staff and the communication skills are an extremely unprofessional and aggressive. There is no reason why if a parent is querying and invoice with the location director, the billing personnel acts as though you are going to rob her tuition; one instance I am getting charged for being out of town for when tuition is due and the other I did not have a finalized invoice for the current month due to a query. Where has the system and process of a daycare center for children has lost the human touch? Is it just about the money?
My toddler is actually in their other location, at HQ. But we've been nothing but happy with the program. She has been going part time since 3mos and full time since about a year old. In early childhood, attachment is critically important. She is attached to the providers and that is the best thing I could ask for.
