What Parents Say
Cradles and Crayons Chaparral has mixed reviews with significant concerns about safety and communication. English-speaking families report feeling unwelcome due to the Spanish-dominant environment, while some families appreciate the bilingual staff. Multiple parents cite injuries, inadequate supervision, poor safety practices, and staff professionalism issues.
I used to come here and I had a whole bunch of friends. If u don’t speak Spanish then talk to Ms.Josefina she will ethier translate bc there the staff speak English and Spanish so don’t talk to the teacher that looks Spanish. The staff try their best to clean for us children. And the teachers are really nice.
If i could give them a 0 if i could. The discrimination against english specking families and children is ridiculous. Only if you are a Spanish speaking family would this be a good option. My son is only spoken to in spanish by his teacher. The location director and 1 staff member are the only ones to speak English. The owner said her staff are not teachers. It's a free for all everytime I go in. Or staff is to busy cleaning. My son was kicked by an older girl cause something happened, no know really knows. its a he said she said staff never saw either incident..My kid says they are mean and ignore him. They force your kid to lay down and nap even if you request it to not happen. Yes they are nice but most the "teachers" shouldn't be a early education providers if they can't communicate with all kids in the class. We are talking about 3 and 4 year old kids not teen or adult who can figure out other ways to communicate 🤔
If you are looking for info like i was i hope you speak spanish. I get that people may feel comfortable in their native language but this is highly unprofessional. I Came for info and Staff continued to talk to me in spanish even though i spoke to them in english. Or the no te entiendo...(i dont understand)..what if it were an emergency. All children are spoken to in spanish..my child does not understand spanish. Both my husband and i speak english to her. If i dont speak to her in spanish idk why they think that it would be ok to impose that on my child. They had the im going to use the chancla vibe when it was clean up time. There were 2 adults to 7 children when i walked in..obviously more than enough space for other children but was told none was available. It was also concerning that the staff wasn't wearing face masks around these children I also witnessed them moping and no gloves while children were clearly walking around i thought it was very unsafe. I was also given number to their sister location which they also only spoke spanish. Who answers a daycare by saying "bueno". After what i witnessed and experienced i am very glad there "isnt any room"...may it's a sign from the man upstairs...steer clear of this place.
My neice and nephew go to this daycare and to many "accidents" have happended 2 of them broken arms in the same year they tell me kids push them around and when they tell someone all they say is ignore them..they tell me they don't like the daycare cuz kids are mean. I have been there myself to pick them up, and staff doesn't look very happy more upset and don't wanna be there. Sadly it's the only one close enough to my sisters work and house, but either way just take good look at your kids when you pi k them up from here you never know what can happen when your not around
Falta de profesionalismo les pide uno ayuda y si ayudan pero no dicen todo y yo en lo personal soy nueva en esto y cuando me aprobaron el programa ya no tenían cupo que porque hable con una ayudante y ellos no saben que ella me dijo
