Cox Pre-School

Wonderful. Children thrive. Positive environment. Kind teachers. Loads of smiles from the kids. Kindergarten prep is amazing. My girls 3 & 5 are thriving. The school focuses on letter/number writing, phonetic awareness, time, math, scissor cutting skills, arts, crafts, music and more. The current 4/5yr old group can write their first names and seem to be spelling small words. My 3 year old can spell her name and is identifying the 1st letter of some words. My 2 girls sing songs they learned from school, and always say positive things about their school day. I feel that compared to other schools in the area, I chose Cox Preschool BECAUSE of the letter writing, number writing prep for kindergarten. ALL of the other preschools I toured indicated they did not focus on these skills due to it being taught in Kindergarten. I feel that giving kids this small headstart will give them more confidence once in Kindergarten. I strongly feel class size is a factor in learning. Cox Preschool has a small student to teacher ratio. Currently 12 students are enrolled ages 2 1/2-5 1/2. Last year 2017 was 10. It is NOT Montessori, and ages are split up, but do come together for snack, and free time. The teachers are warm and friendly. Communication via phone or email is always responded to in a timely manner. The children are part of their school community both in and out! When speaking to people in the area, anyone native to East Windsor or Hightstown, Cox Preschool is highly spoken of! People remember the warm, nurturing environment after going there in the 70's and 80's! Recent Cox families continue to rave about their child's experiences! It is important to find a school that fits you best. I would strongly encourage you to consider Cox Preschool in your search for you child's school. It may just be your glass slipper!!
