What Parents Say
Covenant Family Child Care receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, who praise the caring staff, clean facility, structured environment, and engaging activities. However, one negative review alleges serious concerns including poor facility conditions, excessive screen time, inadequate supervision, and a concerning incident involving a teacher hitting a child.
I know quite a few of the teachers and the directors, they genuinely have a heart for people. My daughter went here years ago, and I'd 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a place that makes loving kindness the heart and soul of what they're all about.
Our 2.5 yo has been going her for a couple months now and we are really happy with the choice. The first thing that struck me on my tour is that the room was calm. Filled with 2.5 year olds happily playing calmly. And I still find this to be the case in the rooms. Their staff are all very sweet and caring. I like the fact that the owner and all the other teachers know my child's name - even ones who don't supervise his room. They always ask for ID for people they don't know. My child hasn't been sick but once (and I think it was something he ate) which surprised me since I expected that in a transition. They have also been great about helping keep up with potty training! They have activities they do like music with a real guitar, lots of art, nice shaded playground, you can sign up for soccer shots, computer classes, etc. They have a parent's night out monthly and family group sessions parents can join. They are learning a lot here - I have been surprised several times with things my son mentions that's must be picking up there. Really good so far.
My Son has been going here for a few years now and I can honestly say that they have a wonderfully caring staff and are beyond open and honest at every turn. All the teachers pay close attention and give the kids a great sense of structure. Shout outs to Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Sydney, Ms. Jenny, and Ms. Drea!
When we enrolled at Covenant, there were no online reviews. I can only assume they hired a company to remove all of the negative reviews. This place is TERRIBLE! The playground is old and falling apart. It's small and they let all ages play together. The classrooms STINK. They smell so bad that I would almost gag at drop off in the morning. The toys aren't age apropriate and are in desperate need of repair. The teachers allow children to watch a lot of tv. Everytime I'd pcik up or drop off the kids would be watching tv and the teacher would be texting or sitting at the table. The facilities need some serious attention. I caught a teacher yelling at the kids. I also caught a teacher hit a child. I reported it to the director and their response was "we'll watch her closely to make sure it doesn't happen again". REALLY! That should have been immediate termination. They feed the kids junk and let them run crazy! The classrooms were always chaos and I never saw any type of activity, game, project, or anything fun. My child never brought home pictures or crafts. I also didnt' approve of their approach to discipline. This place isn't fit for a dog!
Covenant Family Child Care is one of the most loving, caring, attentive communities that I've seen. The people genuinely care about the families that attend there. The facility is clean and have made recent updates. Love this place.
