What Parents Say
Countryside Childcare has highly polarized reviews. Four parents praise the staff, communication, activities, and caring environment. However, three parents report serious concerns including insensitive comments about their child, staff inconsistency, understaffing, and aggressive upselling of additional services.
This location definitely has great staff with a lot of knowledge. BUT be careful cause some teachers could be 2 faces!!! I would avoid if it. The day care on Ringwood ave is a lot different.
Our infant loves it here, the girls are charming and great with her.
This place is great! They are excellent with communication, always giving me updates and sometimes I even get a cute photo text of my little one. When I got there to pick up my 2 year old yesterday, he showed me his art project of the day and told me "I made this!" with a huge smile on his face, I know he really enjoys his time there. they have all kinds off activities, out door play areas and a wonderful staff. I would highly recommend!
Terrible experience. On day 1 of toddlers, the "teacher", told my wife that there is something wrong with my son, that he is not normal. The teacher said she knows he is not normal because she has kids and they do not act like him, which effectively sent my wife home crying. A few days later I noticed a picture uploaded to their facebook of my son in a high chair in a corner by himself facing the opposite direction of the other kids while eating lunch. After my wife cried over this, I called the center and spoke with Beth Ann. Beth Ann assured me that this teacher is highly regarded and a parent favorite and she would never do such a thing. I then informed her about her comments about my son having something wrong with him (alluding to autism), to which Beth Ann quickly defended this teacher again saying she probably worded it wrong. A few weeks later Beth Ann tells me my son needs a 1-1 to better serve him in the classroom. I declined the offer since it required more money of course. After refusing multiple times, Beth Ann then said I either pay for the 1-1 or take my son out of the day care. Mind you, my son is 19 months old and only attended for 1 1/2 days/wk! So, unless your child is a model citizen, I'd recommend going to another day care!
My son loves this Day Care Center! Such a warming environment! The staff really cares for the education and well-being of these children. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
