The school is noted for its child-centered approach, individual attention, enrichment classes, and caring staff who go above and beyond for families. Multiple parents report their children thriving and loving attending the school.
All three of my children have gone to this preschool and I can't say enough great things about this school! They have amazing teachers who really care about the kids and the owner is the sweetest person you will ever meet. My kiddos love going there and they have taught them to read before going to Kindergarten. They are now at the top of their classes in all subjects and I know has a lot to do with the foundation that this school has provided. So thankful we found Counterpoint School, it is a true gem!
It’s so unfortunate having to write a negative review. Our family is big into supporting local and small businesses. As an educator, when I found Counterpoint I couldn’t have been more excited. The truth is they “tour” very well. They talk to you about whole child, curriculum, outdoor and social interactions. When we had our first preschool experience with Counterpoint- we couldn’t have been more disappointed. We decided maybe our expectations were too high and to give them a chance. After several weeks of very little curriculum coming home, zero communication from teachers unless asked, having to go out of our way to ask for updates from teachers about learning in the classroom, and finally finding out they had a lengthy list of violations just last May- we pulled our child out. They have many awards for being highly ranked as a preschool in Colorado Springs and they come across as knowledgeable. Please do your homework on this school and look into reports that were filed from Department of human services... many safety measures were violated and there are huge concerns to be taken into account. When making a decision for your child’s education – you should always feel good about it. We regret having ever put our child in the Counterpoint School.
Our daughter has been there for a year, and now our son will be attending Counterpoint School this fall. As a fellow educator, I can say that Counterpoint is extremely child centered. Not only do they adhere to academics that follow the state/national standards, but they focus on the whole child. The enrichment classes are fun and educational. Their teachers are incredibly knowledgeable about the age they teach along with helping parents with suggestions on how to develop and nurture their child. They are caring and understand about having a family with two working parents. My child's boot had a tear in it for weeks, which I just couldn't get around to sewing or buying new ones. One day she came home with it fixed. Someone took the time to help my daughter and ME by sewing the huge hole. It's the little things that make this place a top-notch educational experience for our children. I am so thankful to have found this school for my children.
My son loves this school. I recommend Counterpoint to anyone who wants to give a wonderful start to their child. The staff is all very wonderful and make learning very easy and positive. Overall this school is the best!
Counterpoint School is a preschool that offers individual attention, state approved curriculum from caring teachers, enhancement classes, and adventure to keep the children excited. Their summer program is open to a broader range of older children, and their sister-school Play Mountain Place offers a home-like teaching environment for younger kiddos. If you can manage to get an opening, go!
