What Parents Say
Congregation Beth Elohim is a synagogue and community center in Brooklyn that hosts religious services, cultural events, and recreational facilities. Reviews consistently praise the spiritual experience, talented clergy, musical performances, and welcoming community atmosphere.
My family loss a $10,000 enrollment deposit after withdrawing a day after the deadline due to a forced relocation following multiple shootings in our neighborhood—months before the school year began. This was particularly disheartening as we were members of the congregation, attended conversion classes, and our child participated in the summer program. The loss of this deposit represented a significant financial hardship for our family during an already destabilizing and stressful transition. Despite this, no refund, flexibility, empathy, or meaningful dialogue was offered. Families should be aware that in serious, unforeseen circumstances, this school does not prioritize its people.
Outstanding spiritual experience. Very musical. Very congregation participatory. The Rabbi and Cantors were excellent. Highly recommend.
I did not go inside the Auditorium but visited their pool facility during group swim classes. Very nice locker rooms. Places for parents to watch their kids available.
Happy with my visit! The team was attentive and I felt taken care of. Would come back again.
I attended a Bar Mitvah at Beth Elohim and was made to feel instantly welcome. The Rabbi was exceptional - thoughtful, stimulating and joyous. Inside the synagogue is beautiful. Highly recommend.
