A welcoming, warm, loving community committed to Jesus and to living life led by the Holy Spirit! There’s a genuine heart here committed to social justice and to partnering with God in Kingdom work.
My family and I have been members of this church for one year now, but we've attended on and off since 2013. Our son attends their preschool, and just finished his second year; the 2.5 and 3 year old programs. He'll be attending PreK in the fall of 2019. When he attends Kindergarten he'll go right across the street to his elementary school, Prospect (so convenient). In the past year we've learned truly what a community this church is, all the services they provide to serve its members and the surrounding communities, and how welcoming everyone is! I'm thankful to have found this church and the community that comes with it! And I'm also thankful for the preschool for giving him a safe, fun, and enriching environment!
I love my experiences at CPC. It is such a caring community that truly cares about each other. CPC is welcoming, warm, family-friendly, offers a sense of belonging for all, is spiritual, and is open to questions about faith. Middle and High School Youth consider their programs their "other family" which provides a safe space to discuss anything that is going on while they navigate the challenging teen years. High School summer service trips are life-changing. I've been to many churches and CPC size and caring culture are a perfect fit for me and my family.
Welcoming church, compelling and relevant sermons, and plenty of education and volunteer opportunities. Best children's and youth programs around! My kids loved the activities at every age level and formed deep and lasting friendships.
I don’t know too much about the church’s religious services, but I’ve enjoyed volunteering here to help the homeless. I think it’s so nice that Community Presbyterian Church partners with DupagePADS to provide a place, as well as lunch and dinner, for the homeless. I give the giving back to the community aspect of the church five stars, and since I don’t expect to learn about any other aspect of the church, I suppose I give the church five stars overall.
