I am so happy that we found this daycare. After attending another local one that we were quite unhappy with, we found CCC and the wonderful nature-based and child-centered school that it is. FIrst, I love that the kids truly go outside in all weather- they even have school rain pants to make sure everyone can play outside. How cool is it that the kids can go on their hiking trails, play in a mud kitchen (with sink), play on the outdoor musical instruments, etc. Other places claim to take your child outside, here they go outside 2 hours a day, every day. I also like the child ratios. In the preschool, there are generally <12-14 kids at any one time with 2 teachers. This gives a lot more attention per child and makes the classroom a much calmer place. My daughter has thrived since joining this school a year ago. My only sadness is that more people don't know what a wonderful place it is!
My son went to CCC for about 2 years while we were living in the area. He was almost 5 when we left. He'll be turning 8 this year and he still talks about how much he loved it there. CCC was like a second family for him.
