If you asked me years ago, I would have told you this was the best daycare to leave your children. My family used this daycare for over 15 years. Now that my children are old enough to speak for themselves, it's a different story. My son tells me he was ignored most of the time. He was shy and quiet so he didn't say much about it. My now 20 year old daughter came to me and asked me why she never got to brush her teeth while she was there. (This was an everyday routine for ALL children) She said she'd wait her turn and she would just be skipped up. I couldn't understand why she was having so many dental problems when she was caring for them everyday at daycare. I remember a worker cornering me and asking me what my problem was with her. I was baffled. Apparently another parent told her some "he said she said stuff", and because of that my daughter got ignored. I didn't even associate with the parent who was spreading the false formation. My daughter was also sent home A LOT for head lice. No other kids. Just her. Sometimes the same day after we returned after treatment. The lice was obviously coming from their facility. But my child was singled out. She remembers having to be isolated from the other children a lot. Then, when she finally changed teachers, I thought things would get better. I was working 3rd, and her dad would forget to pick her up at times, so another family member would be called to pick my child up, and the workers would bad mouth me to my family member. Now, after talking to my children about their treatment was while staying there, I wish I could rewind time and never leave them there.
Honestly one of the most affordable and comprehensive daycares in the area. Staff are educated and required to take continuing education courses. Children as provided free hot meals and snacks. My children have attended this center for a few months as well as the sister center in Morganton for two years and I never had a complaint about the care they received.
My granddaughter goes here and my grandsons went here. They are so awesome, they have taught the kids a lot and are so very nice.
